What was your first job as a journalist?
My first job was covering ASU hockey for the Walter Cronkite Sports Network. Incredible experience, which has brought me to where I am today.
How is social media changing news?
Social media is always evolving. It's a game-changer for all journalists. I am always updating my social media to fit the current trends.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Honesty and hard-working mindset stand out, but being a journalist is about the desire to write, report and share within our communities.
Why did you become a journalist?
Storytelling has always been a passion of mine, and now I'm pursuing my life-long dream of exploring and sharing people's journeys.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I produced stories and pictures for my school's yearbook, covering sports and entertainment.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I'm proud of many stories that I have written, but the piece I am most proud of is the Tale of Two Brothers (Pasichnuk brothers story),
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I would be watching movies/TV shows, hanging out with friends, maybe throwing a frisbee at a park or spending a night on the town exploring.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I appreciate reading articles from ESPN and The Athletic. Their in-depth analysis and reporting is world-class.
