Interview

What was your first job as a journalist?

My first job was covering ASU hockey for the Walter Cronkite Sports Network. Incredible experience, which has brought me to where I am today.

How is social media changing news?

Social media is always evolving. It's a game-changer for all journalists. I am always updating my social media to fit the current trends.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Honesty and hard-working mindset stand out, but being a journalist is about the desire to write, report and share within our communities.

Why did you become a journalist?

Storytelling has always been a passion of mine, and now I'm pursuing my life-long dream of exploring and sharing people's journeys.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I produced stories and pictures for my school's yearbook, covering sports and entertainment.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I'm proud of many stories that I have written, but the piece I am most proud of is the Tale of Two Brothers (Pasichnuk brothers story),

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

I would be watching movies/TV shows, hanging out with friends, maybe throwing a frisbee at a park or spending a night on the town exploring.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I appreciate reading articles from ESPN and The Athletic. Their in-depth analysis and reporting is world-class.
