Fostering sustainable engagement with intangible cultural heritage: a flow theory perspective on Chaohua Wind and Percussion Music
Abstract This study integrates Flow Theory and Embodied Cognition to examine the transmission of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), addressing the psychological distance between contemporary audiences and traditional cultural practices. A randomized experiment (N = 150) compared text-image, audiovisual, and interactive instrumental-performance conditions.

From citation intent to knowledge contribution: Classifying what cited papers actually contribute
1 INTRODUCTION Understanding how knowledge propagates and accumulates in the literature is a central concern of bibliometrics and science of science (Aman & Gläser, 2025). Citations serve as the primary vehicle for this process, reflecting the way that researchers incorporate methods, data, findings, and theories from prior work into their own.
Analytical solution for non-limiting active earth pressure of retaining walls with inclined backface and sloping backfill
Abstract This study investigates non-limit active earth pressure on rigid retaining walls with inclined wall backfaces and cohesive sloping backfill undergoing translational movement. A method is proposed for calculating interlayer shear-stress coefficients based on the mobilized stress state of cohesive soil.
Piercing injury and pulling-out mechanical properties of garlic scapes based on X-ray CT
Abstract To resolve the problems of low operational efficiency and high plant injury rate in mechanized garlic scape harvesting, this study systematically investigated the interfacial mechanical and mechanical damage characteristics of garlic scapes during the pulling-out process. Basic mechanical properties of garlic scapes, including tensile, compressive, bending and shear behaviors, were first measured to clarify the inherent mechanical basis for interfacial mechanical and injury evolution.
Computer Science > Digital Libraries
Understanding the flow and evolution of scientific knowledge is essential for assessing research impact. Existing citation analysis methods mainly focus on citing authors' subjective intents, failing to consistently characterize cited papers' knowledge contributions. This study proposes the Knowledge Contribution Taxonomy (KCT), derived from the Scientific Research Logic Model, which identifies the type of knowledge a cited paper contributes based on the citation context.
Delivery platforms for in vivo CAR-T engineering
Abstract Ex vivo CAR-T changed cancer care, but its made-to-order manufacturing keeps too many patients waiting. In vivo CAR-T takes a different path: deliver the genetic blueprint to a patient’s own immune cells and let the body build the therapy.
Digital case-library and dual-mentor teaching for medical laboratory science internships in China: a historical comparison educational evaluation
Abstract Background: Medical laboratory science internships often rely on fragmented rotation-based placements, limiting opportunities to connect laboratory results with clinical decision-making, quality-control reasoning and communication with clinicians. We evaluated the feasibility, acceptability and associated outcomes of a digital case-library-based dual-mentor teaching model.

Nicotinamide metabolism-related signature and lncRNA regulatory network in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma
On September 1, 2024, clinical and TPM RNA sequencing data (RNA-seq) from 541 KIRC tissues and 72 adjacent normal tissues were extracted from TCGA (https://portal.gdc.cancer.gov/). Patients for whom clinical information could not be accessed were deleted from subsequent analyses. For our evaluation, data from the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) project were utilized, specifically the Renal Cell Cancer-European Union (RECA-EU) dataset.
Programmable electric hysteresis in graphite/MoS 2 heterojunctions through twisting
Abstract Van der Waals devices have recently been shown to enable remarkable field-effect control over electronic orders, including sliding ferroelectricity. In this work, we report robust electric hysteresis in graphite/MoS2 heterojunction devices. The hysteretic behavior is programmable via interlayer twisting, with the memory window sharply decreasing near 30°, confirming strong angle-dependent modulation.

Influence of nursing cardiac rehabilitation on cardiac function and quality of life in patients with coronary heart disease after percutaneous coronary intervention
Abstract Background: With the widespread application of Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is widely used to treat coronary heart disease (CHD). Although it can effectively open narrowed or occluded coronary arteries, patients still face many challenges in terms of postoperative cardiac function recovery and improvement of quality of life.
Augmenting ultrasound for continuous glucose monitoring via a wearable acoustically readable microneedle patch
Abstract Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) represents substantial advancement, yet poses a challenge in wearable health care development. Current enzymatic CGM faces limitations in stability, cost, and durability. We introduce an enzyme-free, wearable acoustically readable microneedle patch (ARMPatch) composed of glucose-responsive hydrogel. Positioned between a standard ultrasound probe and the skin, ARMPatch acts as an acoustic interface enabling CGM using conventional ultrasound.
Enhancing floating debris detection in complex scenarios: a multi-scale refined RT-DETR approach
Abstract Precise detection and classification of multi-scale floating debris in complex irrigation water sources constitute an important approach for achieving automation in water quality management. However, the existing object detection algorithms have low detection and classification accuracy for densely distributed floating debris of different scales in complex water surface scenes.
Recent advances in local anesthetic drug delivery systems based on natural polymers
1 Introduction Local anesthetic drugs (LADs) are a group of agents applied locally to the human body to block the generation and conduction of local nerve impulses, thereby causing temporary loss of sensory functions (e.g., pain, touch, and temperature sensation) in local tissues such as the skin, mucous membranes, and nerve trunks.

Spatiotemporal dynamics and drivers of ecological quality in Shaanxi (Yellow River Basin, China) based on optimized RSEI and SHAP
1 Introduction The ecological environment’s quality is crucial for human survival and development (Cai et al., 2023). In the past 2 decades, China’s ecological environment has generally improved (Fang et al., 2023). However, comprehensive evidence on the spatiotemporal evolution of ecological quality and its driving mechanisms remains limited at sub-basin and regional scales, where complex terrain and heterogeneous land cover can amplify coupled natural–human influences (Zhu et al., 2024).
Enzyme-converted O kidneys allow ABO-incompatible transplantation without hyperacute rejection in a human decedent model - Nature Biomedical Engineering
Abstract ABO-incompatible kidney transplantation is widely used to meet the escalating need for organs. Current recipient-centric desensitization protocols involving antibody depletion through plasmapheresis increase the risk of infections, perioperative bleeding events and costs. Here we present a donor-centric desensitization protocol, converting type-A kidneys into enzyme-converted O kidneys during hypothermic perfusion to remove the A antigen from the kidneys.

Panacea or Pandora’s box: diverse governance strategies for conspiracy theories and their consequences in China - Humanities and Social Sciences Communications
Abstract This study examines the Chinese government’s strategies for managing conspiracy theories (CTs) on social media. While previous research has primarily considered how authoritarian regimes disseminate CTs for political purposes and has often viewed the public as fully receptive to propaganda and easily manipulated, our research explores a broader spectrum of state strategies including propagation, tolerance, and partial rebuttal.

A small molecule directly targets NLRP3 to promote inflammasome activation and antitumor immunity - Cell Death & Disease
Abstract Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapies have emerged as promising treatment of cancer, but the efficacy is limited. NLRP3 inflammasome activation in tumor microenvironment can promote the infiltration of cytotoxic lymphocytes and antitumor immunity, but it is unclear whether ICB resistance can be overcome by directly targeting NLRP3. Here we show that a small molecule compound directly targeting NLRP3 can induce inflammasome activation and anti-tumor immunity.
