Extended elastic impedance inversion for enhanced reservoir characterization in the Galhak Oil Formation of the Rawat Basin Sudan
Abstract The Rawat Basin in southwestern Sudan exhibits significant hydrocarbon potential, with several structural traps successfully identified and drilled. However, the region’s exploration strategies have largely relied on conventional seismic interpretation techniques, which, despite their utility in identifying large-scale structures, lack the resolution and accuracy necessary for detailed reservoir characterization in geologically complex settings.

Applied Sciences | Free Full-Text | Effect of the Gap between Cemented Posts and Remaining Gutta-Percha on the Clinical Outcome of Endodontically Treated Teeth Managed by Undergraduate Dental Students: A Prospective Study with 4 Years of Follow-Up
Abstract : It is common to detect a gap between the apical portion of the post and the most coronal part of gutta-percha in a root canal during post and core treatment in endodontically treated teeth. It may compromise the seal that gutta-percha material provides in the root canal filling, leading to apical leakage, which is often thought to be one of the most common causes for failure of endodontic treatment.
The human element remains critical in data management service and support
Read time: 3 minutes The human element remains critical in data management service and support While many organisations have moved large portions of their IT infrastructure, including data storage and backup, into the cloud, this does not mean that it will manage itself. Data management remains the responsibility of the creator of the data, and skills are still required to ensure the architecture is running smoothly and to monitor changes.
The human element remains critical in data management service and support
When it comes to data management support and services, there are different models available for different business types. For example, enterprises tend to invest in internal support staff, whereas some organisations opt for a subscription-based approach that can be renewed annually. In either situation, data needs to be protected from multiple threats, including hardware failure, accidental deletion, and the myriad of security threats that exist today.
