CRIME A grand jury indicted 40-year-old William Fielder, 22-year-old Javier Zapata, Jr., and 33-year-old Richard Culp. CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — There has been yet another round of indictments against Nueces County jailers bringing the total to six, all facing charges of tampering with a government record and official oppression. Similar charges were filed last month when 3News reported on the alleged incidents of inmates being beaten by jailers at the Nueces County Jail.

Police: Man killed after altercation, 16-year-old arrested

NEWS It is not clear at this time what the altercation was about or the connection between the victim and suspect. A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection to the shooting death of a man on the 4000 block of Redwood Drive in Corpus Christi Friday morning. Police were called to the area at around 6:15 a.m. Friday after receiving reports of a man who had been shot. When they arrived, they said the victim was already deceased.
