Variable diameter configurations influence propane air deflagration and pressure rise in industrial pressurized pipelines
Abstract Variable-diameter sections are widely used in industrial gas transmission, exhaust, and collection pipelines; however, their effects on deflagration-induced pressure loading remain insufficiently understood. In this study, a validated large eddy simulation (LES) scheme integrated with a premixed turbulent combustion model was adopted to investigate the effects of different variable-diameter configurations on propane-air deflagration and transient pressure loading.
Macroscopic cerebral energy efficiency corresponds to neuron reorganization in awake and anesthetized mice
Abstract Introduction: Non-invasive imaging of brain function and energy supply is crucial for diagnosing and treating brain disorders. Conventional imaging struggles to capture altered relationships between energy supply and demand caused by brain diseases. A novel method, thus far only tested non-invasively in human subjects, is to calculate relative power (rPWR) and relative cost (rCST) to assess cerebral energy efficiency.

Suppression of Peierls Instability in a Metal−Halide Porous Framework
1 Introduction Low-dimensional materials exhibit a rich variety of electronic phenomena arising from the interplay between lattice degrees of freedom and electron correlations. Among these, the Peierls instability represents a fundamental lattice distortion mechanism in one-dimensional (1D) systems, where electron-phonon coupling induces a periodic lattice modulation that opens an electronic band gap at the Fermi level, driving a metal-insulator transition (Figure 1a−d) [1, 2].
Broadband and wide-temperature dissipation continuum in a supramolecular damping organohydrogel for motion-tolerant bioelectronics
Abstract High-fidelity signal acquisition is the cornerstone of personalized healthcare, but wearable bioelectronics remain vulnerable to motion artifacts, which contaminate the electrophysiological signals. Conventional materials rely on discrete viscoelastic relaxation mechanisms, resulting in narrow damping bandwidths and high thermal sensitivity that fail to match the continuous, broadband nature of mechanical noise.
Postoperative radiotherapy for resected esophageal squamous cell carcinoma: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: The role of postoperative radiotherapy (PORT) in patients with radically resected esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remains controversial. This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the efficacy of PORT compared with surgery alone in terms of survival outcomes and toxicity.

Clinical value of first-morning urine exfoliated cell HPV detection in the diagnosis of high-grade cervical lesions
Abstract Methods: This multicenter, cross-sectional diagnostic accuracy study enrolled 500 women attending gynaecology and colposcopy clinics at four institutions in Ningxia, China (June 2025–January 2026), using a disease-enriched design with predefined histopathological groups. All participants simultaneously underwent FMU HPV testing and cervical co-testing (liquid-based cytology [TCT] + HPV DNA). Those with abnormal co-testing underwent colposcopy and biopsy.

New clarifications on work injury recognition in China
Why employers should pay attention On 13 November 2025, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security issued Opinions (III), introducing important clarifications to China’s work injury regime. Under PRC law, an injury is generally recognised as a work injury if it occurs during working hours, at a workplace, and for work-related reasons.
Single-crystal growth of complex non-fullerene acceptor molecules via cocrystallization - Nature Communications
Abstract The growth of high-quality organic single crystals is essential for probing intrinsic optoelectronic properties and molecular packing. However, the conventional vapor- and liquid-phase methods fail for structurally complex molecules like the non-fullerene acceptor (NFA) Y6, where thermal instability and steric hindrance from branched sidechains inhibit crystallization.

PEMFC RUL Prediction for Non-Stationary Time Series Based on Crossformer Model
1. Introduction With the continuous growth of global energy demand and increasing attention given to environmental sustainability, research on clean and efficient energy conversion technologies has become particularly important. PEMFCs have attracted attention due to their significant energy density, fast start-up and response, high efficiency, low pollution, and convenient fuel supply [1]. However, the RUL issue of PEMFCs limits their reliability and economic value in commercial applications.
Manipulation on a heavy fluid layer with dual-mode perturbations via reverberating waves
The growth and manipulation of a heavy fluid layer with dual-mode perturbations imposed only at the downstream interface are investigated. To quantify the effects of reverberating waves, the processes of the disturbed reverberating waves interacting with the layer are theoretically modeled. When the compression waves hit the downstream interface, they will suppress (promote) the mode growth if the mode has (has not) completed the phase inversion.

Rare atypical type a thymoma: a case report and literature review - Diagnostic Pathology
Type A thymoma is a thymic epithelial neoplasm with variable growth patterns, composed of usually bland spindle/oval tumour cells with few or no admixed immature lymphocytes. Tumours are characterised by no (immature) lymphocyte-rich regions with dense, “ impossibleto-count” TdT(+) lymphocytes; or at most 10% tumor regions with moderate immature lymphocyte counts [4]. Type A thymoma has been regarded as an indolent tumour with a favourable prognosis.

Endoscopic sphenopalatine artery cauterization (ESPAC) has become an important method to manage posterior epistaxis. To investigate the application of plasma knife and lateral nasal wall incision in ESPAC in the treatment of posterior epistaxis. A retrospective study of 32 cases who underwent ESPAC for epistaxis was conducted. A vertical incision was made on the lateral nasal well to expose the sphenopalatine artery (SPA).

Lens-free on-chip 3D microscopy based on wavelength-scanning Fourier ptychographic diffraction tomography - Light: Science & Applications
Abstract Lens-free on-chip microscopy is a powerful and promising high-throughput computational microscopy technique due to its unique advantage of creating high-resolution images across the full field-of-view (FOV) of the imaging sensor. Nevertheless, most current lens-free microscopy methods have been designed for imaging only two-dimensional thin samples. Lens-free on-chip tomography (LFOCT) with a uniform resolution across the entire FOV and at a subpixel level remains a critical challenge.
