Paul Atherton is a noted Filmmaker, who is also an artist, playwright, author, broadcaster, journalist & Social Campaigner.

He specialises in all social issues from domestic violence, race, disability, welfare and homelessness to ecomonic theory, money and equality having both structural and firsthand experiences of all.

He's written for The Guardian, The Londonist, The Evening Standard & The Bureau of Investigative Journalism. He contributes regularly to Matthew D'Ancona's weekly Creative Sens…

What was your first job as a journalist?

An Opiinion Editorial about Mixed Race Adoption for the Evening Standard.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes. Ironically I discovered the Royal Society of Arts when I did their typing exam, when I was 16. RSA Exam Board.

How is social media changing news?

Taking us back to the 18th Century, where every Tom, Dick & Harry have an opinion/story. Then it was handing out leaflets on Street corners
