Author Correction: Mapping self-associating chromatin hubs identifies Id proteins as key determinants of exhausted CD8 + T cell fate
Correction to: Nature Immunology https://doi.org/10.1038/s41590-026-02578-4, published online 6 July 2026. In the version of the article initially published, in the “Under RNA-seq and data analyses” section of the Methods, the last sentence of the “Data generation” paragraph was “The RNA-seq FASTQ files of CD8+ TN cells were previously reported and deposited at the GEO (GSE164712)” but should have been “The RNA-seq data of CD8+ TN cells were newly generated and deposited at the GEO (GSE343749)”.
PRMT1-SFPQ regulates intron retention to control matrix gene expression during craniofacial development
eLife Assessment This important work establishes a connection between PRMT1 and SFPQ by identifying common phenotypes downstream of their inactivation. In the resubmission, authors now include NMD as a contributor to aberrant gene expression underpinning craniofacial development. The complementary experiments help strengthen some solid conclusions. This paper describes an interesting mechanism for the regulation of RNA levels, which is of interest to the readers of eLife.
Editing Susceptibility Genes for Broad-Spectrum Resistance in Plants: From Passive Knockout to Active Design
1 Introduction Crop disease resistance breeding has long been haunted by a bitter choice. Deploy race-specific resistance (R) genes and then surrender them to rapid pathogen evolution, or inactivate susceptibility (S) genes at the cost of yield penalties. This places breeders in a perpetual cycle of passive chasing. The canonical example of mlo-mediated powdery mildew resistance proved that S-gene loss-of-function can confer durable, broad-spectrum immunity (Acevedo-Garcia et al. 2017).
Interfacial Tandem Catalysis Over a CuSn(OH) 6 /Co Heterostructure Enables Efficient Electroreduction of Nitrate to Ammonia
1 Introduction Ammonia (NH3) is a cornerstone for global development, owing to its indispensable roles in nitrogen fertilizer synthesis, chemical manufacturing, and emerging potential as a carbon-free hydrogen carrier, which together drive its ever-increasing demand [1-3]. The sustainable production of NH3 has therefore attracted widespread attention in the context of carbon neutrality [4].
Gut microbiota-activated PLCγ2 monocytes drive atrial fibrillation
Abstract Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained arrhythmia, conferring risks of stroke and heart failure. Monocyte activation-associated inflammation is implicated in AF, yet the recruitment of monocytes and their role in atrial remodeling remain unclear. Here we show that monocytes from AF patients upregulate phospholipase C gamma 2 (PLCG2).

Mapping self-associating chromatin hubs identifies Id proteins as key determinants of exhausted CD8 + T cell fate
Abstract Within days of exposure to chronic viral infections, activated CD8+ T cells differentiate into Tcf1−Slamf6loTim3hi exhaustion-prone effector T (TEX_EFF) cells or self-renewing Tcf1+Slamf6hiTim3lo precursor exhausted T (TPEX) cells. Here we showed that early CD8+ TEX cell fates were imprinted by forming subset-specific, self-associating chromatin hubs.
Exhausted CD8 + T cell fate is programmed by dynamic CTCF-mediated enhancer activation and invariant CTCF-imposed barriers
Abstract Exhausted CD8+ T (TEX) cells undergo extensive genome reorganization during differentiation, yet the drivers of this process remain elusive. Here we show that CTCF programmed CD8+ TEX cell fates through two distinct modes of action. CTCF acquired de novo binding sites and concordantly induced open chromatin in early CD8+ TEX cells responding to chronic viral infection. The dynamic CTCF binding activated enhancers and promoted chromatin looping.
Loss of Brg1 prevents the progression of pulmonary hypertension by inhibiting Nrf2 expression
Abstract Brahma-related gene 1 (Brg1) is a major factor in regulation of chromatin remodeling and is involved in different cellular processes, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation. However, the role of Brg1 in pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH) has not been elucidated. This study aims to assess the role of Brg1 in PAH using hypoxia-induced PAH rat model, Monocrotaline(MCT)-induced PAH rat model, and hypoxia-induced arterial smooth muscle cell model.
Ultrafast decoherence in solid-state high-harmonic generation induced by nuclear-electronic entanglement
Abstract High-harmonic generation (HHG) has provided groundbreaking insights into nonequilibrium dynamics involving strong light-matter interactions. However, intrinsic quantum effects of condensed matter, such as electronic coherence and its interplay with nuclear degrees of freedom─one of the most fascinating aspects of quantum mechanics─have largely been overlooked. Here, we explore the nuclear quantum effects (NQEs) on electronic coherence in solid-state HHG.

Hyperpolarized Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Metabolomics, and Artificial Intelligence to Interrogate the Metabolic Evolution of Glioblastoma
Abstract Glioblastoma (GBM) is a malignant Grade VI cancer type with a median survival duration of only 8-16 months. Earlier detection of GBM could enable more effective treatment. Hyperpolarized magnetic resonance spectroscopy (HPMRS) could detect GBM earlier than conventional anatomical MRI in glioblastoma murine models. We further investigated whether artificial intelligence (A.I.) could detect GBM earlier than HPMRS.
