ANO1 stabilizes partial EMT to drive colorectal cancer metastasis through PI3K/AKT/mTOR and ERK signaling pathways
|
Abstract Colorectal cancer (CRC) metastasis remains a clinically intractable challenge, where the partial epithelial-mesenchymal transition (partial EMT) state is a key driver of metastatic plasticity and treatment resistance. The calcium-activated chloride channel ANO1 (TMEM16A) is frequently overexpressed in epithelial tumors, yet its mechanism in regulating metastasis and partial EMT remains undefined. In this study, we identify ANO1 as a key stabilizer of the partial EMT state.

Diversifying the literary canon featured image
The term “literary canon” is used to describe a selection of works considered to be the most influential for a given time and place. On teaching literature, MU professor Elizabeth Chang says, “The syllabus is always a balance between trying to teach students works that are widely known that other people will expect them to know, as well as giving them exposure to different kinds of works that they might not even know existed.”

Metal nanoparticles in ionic liquid‐cosolvent biphasic systems as active catalysts for acetylene hydrochlorination
Ionic liquid (IL)‐stabilized metal nanoparticles (NPs) have attracted increased attention as novel catalysts for various reactions due to their excellent stability and high activity. However, the high viscosity of ILs limits their applications. Here, for the first time, we reported an NPs@IL‐cosolvent liquid–liquid biphasic system for metal NPs catalysis. The NPs were successfully confined to IL phase, and abundant IL droplets containing NPs were generated under the reactant flow.
