Multicollinearity-reduced conditional variational autoencoder for low-carbon dispatch of industrial energy systems
Abstract Industrial integrated multi-energy systems must coordinate electricity, heat, gas, storage and flexible demand while limiting carbon emissions. Renewable uncertainty complicates this dispatch because wind and photovoltaic profiles are stochastic and correlated.
Nonlinear Granger causality and LSTM-Transformer hybrid forecasting reveal meteorological drivers of influenza incidence in Gansu Province
Abstract Influenza poses a significant public health burden with distinct seasonality. In regions with pronounced climatic features like Gansu Province, China, traditional statistical models often fail to capture the nonlinear and lagged effects of meteorological drivers on influenza transmission. A deeper understanding of these complex relationships is essential for improving predictive accuracy.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis IDH-PPARγ interaction suppresses GPX4 to drive macrophage ferroptosis and sustain persistent infection
|
Abstract Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.tb) actively reprograms host lipid metabolism during infection; however, the underlying mechanism remains poorly understood. How M.tb manipulates macrophage lipid metabolism to induce lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis for bacterial persistence remains a fundamental question. Here, using single-cell RNA sequencing and proteomics, we show that M.tb infection substantially upregulates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) in macrophages.

The effectiveness of motivational interviewing on self-management in older adults with hypertension and frailty: study protocol for a randomized controlled trial
Abstract Background: Frailty and hypertension frequently coexist in older adults, posing substantial challenges to self-management and increasing the risk of adverse outcomes. Standard health education has shown limited effects in this population, and motivational interviewing may support sustained behavior change, yet evidence from randomized controlled trials remains scarce.
The job stress and subjective well-being among Chinese primary and secondary school teachers: the role of marital quality and social support
Introduction Subjective well-being (SWB) has long been an important topic in psychology and education. SWB is generally defined as an individual’s overall cognitive evaluation of life satisfaction, as well as the presence of positive and negative emotions in daily life and work (Diener, 1984). A large body of research has shown that SWB is closely related to physical and mental health, social adjustment, and overall quality of life (Livingston et al., 2022; Gautam et al., 2024).
Portable Radar for Noncontact Heart Rate Monitoring and Estrus Detection in Dairy Cows
1 Introduction Monitoring respiratory and heart rates is fundamental for managing dairy cow health. These parameters are indicative of the animals' health, stress levels, and productivity. Real-time and accurate physiological monitoring enables early detection of potential health issues, efficient management of heat stress, and improved reproduction and milk production outcomes. The respiratory and heart rates are vital physiological indicators.

The effect of ohmic heating conditions and heating modes on gel properties of unwashed pre‐rigor common carp (Cyprinus carpio) surimi
1 INTRODUCTION Surimi and its products are popular among consumers due to their low fat, high protein, and rich nutrition. Since the depletion of marine fish resources, freshwater fish are gradually becoming essential raw materials for surimi production to meet the market demand (Yingchutrakul et al., 2022). However, the poor gelation properties of freshwater surimi pose a significant constraint on the development of freshwater surimi.
Merkel cell polyomavirus protein ALTO modulates TBK1 activity to support persistent infection
Abstract While Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV or MCV) is an abundant virus frequently shed from healthy skin, it is one of the most lethal tumor viruses in immunocompromised individuals, highlighting the crucial role of host immunity in controlling MCPyV oncogenic potential. Despite its prevalence, very little is known about how MCPyV interfaces with the host immune response to maintain asymptomatic persistent infection and how inadequate control of MCPyV infection triggers MCC tumorigenesis.

2.3. The Moderating Role of Lmx Orientations LMX relationships comprise two distinct components: a social component (SLMX) and an economic component (ELMX), each characterized by different qualities [41]. Followers with different LMX orientations are likely to respond differently to relational self-identity and individual self-identity when choosing how to display emotions toward their supervisors.

Puerarin Inhibits NLRP3-Caspase-1-GSDMD-Mediated Pyroptosis via P2X7 Receptor in Cardiomyocytes and Macrophages
1. Introduction Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a complication of diabetes without coronary heart disease or hypertension as an underlying cause. In DCM, the myocardial structure and function are impaired, including ventricular dysfunction, hypertrophy of cardiomyocytes, myocardial apoptosis, interstitial fibrosis, and dysregulation of metabolism. It is the main reason for the high incidence of heart failure and high mortality rates in diabetic patients [1].
BIK1 protein homeostasis is maintained by the interplay of different ubiquitin ligases in immune signaling - Nature Communications
Abstract Pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) trigger plant innate immunity that acts as the first line of inducible defense against pathogen infection. A receptor-like cytoplasmic kinase BOTRYTIS-INDUCED KINASE 1 (BIK1) functions as a signaling hub immediately downstream of multiple pattern recognition receptors (PRRs). It is known that PLANT U-BOX PROTEIN 25 (PUB25) and PUB26 ubiquitinate BIK1 and mediate BIK1 degradation.

Unraveling the Nexus: Exploring the Pathways to Combined Resource Use
Summary In response to the unprecedented decline in global natural resource endowments, the so‐called nexus framework is gaining increasing influence on resource management practices. In this research, we approach the resource nexus through the concept of nexus pathways. Nexus pathways are configurations that resource flows follow along supply chains leading to the combined use of two or more resources.
Environmentally responsive composite films fabricated using silk nanofibrils and silver nanowires
In this article, a natural polymeric nanomaterial, silk nanofibrils (SNFs) and a metal nanomaterial, silver nanowires (AgNWs) were used to fabricate two environmentally responsive composites, through a simple and convenient vacuum filtration method, based on the unique structures of these two nanomaterials. An AgNWs/SNFs hybrid film is made by homogeneously dispersing AgNWs as a three-dimensional conducting network in an insulting SNFs matrix.
