Roseburg's Homeless Commission gave several updates on what's next for the commission heading into the summer months. Audience participation kicked off the June 23 Homeless Commission meeting where HIV Alliance Prevention Specialist Karlee Carlson reflected on the results from the City Council's decision to ban syringe distribution and exchanges in parks and other City property on June 9. "So in the last month, we collected 201 syringes and and distributed 29 sharps containers," said Carlson.
