Abstract Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) causes chronic suffering from gastrointestinal inflammation and dysfunction that can progress to colon cancer1,2. The disease prevalence is increasing and there is an urgent need to better understand its pathogenic mechanisms to improve treatment.

The Editor-in-Chief would like to alert the readers that concerns have been raised about some of the blots presented in this article. Specifically: Fig. 5b, Syk and Fig. 6d, pPyk2 appear to partially overlap Fig. 5g, p-Syk (Myd88−/−) and Fig. 6c, p-Src appear to be highly similar Fig. 6e, Src and Fig.
