Sara Bedigian’s Biography

Sara is a reporter at The Day, the last independently owned daily newspaper in Connecticut, covering Putnam, Killingly, and Plainfield along the route 395 corridor.

Her byline can be found nationally in The Washington Post and The Associated Press and across Southern New England in the Hartford Courant, Worcester Telegram and Gazette, Worcester Business Journal, Valley Breeze, CT Mirror, CT Examiner, Community Advocate, among others.

She is a spring 2026 graduate at the University of Connecticut where she received two Bachelor of Arts degrees in journalism and political science with minors in environmental studies and English. During her time at UConn, she served as editor-in-chief of the student-run newspaper The Daily Campus and president of UConn's chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
