High-fat diet-induced obesity accelerates puberty in male rats through SMIM20/phoenixin upregulation
1 Introduction Central precocious puberty (CPP) is a common pediatric endocrine disorder caused by premature activation of the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis (HPGA). It is defined in boys as the development of genitalia and secondary sexual characteristics before the age of 9 (1). Over the past few decades, the global incidence of CPP has risen markedly. A Danish national study reported that from 1998 to 2017, CPP incidence increased sixfold in girls and fifteenfold in boys (2, 3).

Tissue‐Resident T Cells That Promote Humoral Immunity: Emerging From the Shadow of T Follicular Helper Cells
1 Canonical T-B Cell Interaction in B-Cell Follicles Humoral immunity is critical for organismal homeostasis, regulating host-microbiome interactions at barrier surfaces and the host response to immune challenge, neutralizing and eliminating pathogens and transformed cells, and responding to vaccines [1, 2]. Upon immune dysregulation, it is also a central driver of systemic and organ-specific autoimmune diseases.

Efficacy of Spesolimab in Treating Generalized Pustular Psoriasis with
Introduction Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is a rare and chronic disease that can be life-threatening. It is marked by repeated episodes of painful redness, sterile pustules, and “lakes of pus”. These episodes may occur with or without systemic inflammation or plaque psoriasis.1 The clinical course of GPP is highly variable, occurring either de novo or triggered by various factors. Current guidelines for the treatment of GPP are lacking.

Retain in the City, Return Flow, or Blind Direction: A Study on the Differentiation Mechanism of Migrant Workers’ Migration Willingness under the Background of China’s Strategy for Integrated Urban-Rural Development
1. Introduction Labor migration has always been a topic of widespread concern among scholars both domestically and internationally. In international research, Canada and the United States primarily focus on the seasonal migration and rights protections of agricultural workers. In recent years, Europe has gradually shifted its research perspective to issues related to the labor rights of female migrants among international immigrants.
Identification and knockout of a herbivore susceptibility gene enhances planthopper resistance and increases rice yield - Nature Food
Abstract Brown planthoppers (Nilaparvata lugens) and white-backed planthoppers (Sogatella furcifera) are among the most destructive pests on rice. However, plant susceptibility genes have not yet been exploited for crop protection. Here we identified a leucine-rich repeat protein, OsLRR2, from susceptible rice varieties that facilitates infestation by brown planthopper N. lugens.

Dual-band photodetector based on mixed-dimensional WSe2/GaN junction
Dual-band photodetector based on mixed-dimensional WSe2/GaN junction This work demonstrates a WSe2/GaN heterojunction with different bandgaps and dimensionality for a high performance visible/ultraviolet dual-band photodetector. Two-dimensional (2D) p-type WSe2 was stacked on top of three-dimensional (3D) n-type GaN, enabling a well construction of p-n junction at the interface, and thus exhibiting an excellent current rectification behavior and junction field-effect property.

Development of cell-free toehold switch for hepatitis A virus type I on-site detection
Development of cell-free toehold switch for hepatitis A virus type I on-site detection Picornavirus hepatitis A virus (HAV) is a common cause of hepatitis worldwide. It is spread primarily through contaminated food and water or person-to-person contact. HAV I has been identified as the most common type of human HAV infection. Here, we have developed a cell-free toehold switch sensor for HAV I detection.
Ecology & Society: Changing collaborative networks and transitions in rural sustainable development: qualitative lessons from three villages in China
Research ABSTRACT Promoting rural sustainable development requires improving rural systems’ self-organization to reduce dependence on external resources, which is inherently difficult in peasant economies due to low rural household income. Bottom-up collective action can help address these issues. However, few studies have examined how networks of elite and non-elite actors influence collective action and system transitions toward sustainability.
Potential breeding target genes for enhancing agronomic drought resistance: A yield‐survival balance perspective
1 INTRODUCTION Climate change has been associated with the increasing occurrence and intensity of abiotic stresses, such as drought, salinity, low temperatures and floods (Rivero et al., 2022). Among these stresses, drought represents a long-term challenge to the global social safety and development (Dubey et al., 2021). According to the United Nations, droughts have affected 1.5 billion people and caused economic losses of at least US$124 billion in the past two decades (WMO, 2021).

Persistence of traveling waves to the time fractional Keller‐Segel system with a small parameter
Abstract This paper aims to investigate the time fractional Keller-Segel system with a small parameter. After the fractional order traveling wave transformation, the heteroclinic orbit of the degenerate time fractional Keller-Segel system is demonstrated through the method of constructing a suitable invariant region. Moreover, the persistence of traveling waves in the system with a small parameter can be further illustrated.
The impact of R&D effort on business model innovation: Evaluating chain mediation through collaboration breadth and depth
3.3.5 Control variables. To account for the effects of extraneous variables, we included firm ownership, firm age, firm size, firm location, industry, financial leverage and operating leverage as alternative explanations for business model innovation. In China, firm ownership is an important factor that influences a firm’s strategy, operation and performance [22].
