LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Wednesday's testimony focused on the DNA found at the crime scene that was later tied to Joseph Zieler more than two decades after the murders. We heard from a crime analyst supervisor with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) who tested the DNA. 11-year-old Robin Cornell and her babysitter, 32-year-old Lisa Story, were found dead in their Cape Coral home on May 9, 1990.

Jury selection expected to begin in the Joseph Zieler murder trial

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Jury selection begins on Monday for Joseph Zieler. He is accused of killing 11-year-old Robin Cornell and her babysitter Lisa Story in Cape Coral in 1990. Lee County Judge Robert Branning is presiding over the case. Thursday, the state attorney and his defense team argued over the death penalty and should Florida's new death penalty law apply in this case. Zieler is facing charges of first-degree homicide, sexual battery, and burglary.

People in the LGBT community are shocked and saddened a gay nightclub was the target of terrorism. Now, another community group is speaking out, worried about their safety in the future. Days after 49 people were killed during Hispanic night at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, the hashtag #SomosOrlando ("We Are Orlando" in English) has taken off on social media to unify the Hispanic community and the LGBT community as they grieve the loss of life. "We're still kind of numb," Benjamin Flecha said.
