MoTE: Mixture of Task Experts for Multi-Task Video Understanding
Published on Aug 25 · Submitted by Muhammad Asad Ali on Aug 26 Abstract MoTE replaces dense decoder feed-forward networks with task-specific experts routed by sample-level task labels, improving multi-task video-language accuracy with sparse, interpretable computation. Federated TinyML and digital twin framework for secure and resilient IoMT-based ICU monitoring
Abstract Resource-constrained medical sensing devices are increasingly expected to support local intelligence, privacy-preserving collaboration, and secure communication in Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) environments. However, deploying federated learning in ICU monitoring remains challenging because hospital data are often non-IID, model updates may be adversarially poisoned, and emerging quantum-security threats require stronger communication protection.
DKC1 promotes colorectal cancer progression and therapy resistance by dysregulating sphingolipid biosynthesis
Abstract DKC1, a key coordinator of RNA modification and telomerase activity, has been implicated in colorectal cancer (CRC), yet its role in disease pathogenesis remains incompletely understood. We show that DKC1 drives CRC by promoting cell cycle progression, suppressing apoptosis, conferring stemness and drug resistance. Elevated DKC1 in CRC associates with poor prognosis and WNT-enriched Consensus Molecular Subtype 2 gene signature.
HybridTrust: on-device federated learning with crypto-agile security for legacy and quantum-safe medical devices
Abstract The process of migration of IoMT systems in healthcare into post-quantum cryptographic systems is expected to be a gradual one. Here, existing ECC-based devices alongside newly developed quantum-resistant devices will be operating within the same healthcare ecosystem. However, there exists an important interoperability challenge posed by the need for collaboration within the domain of edge intelligence in critical life situations like ICU monitoring.

The Last Message Wasn’t Meant for Me
At 2:17 a.m., my phone buzzed with a notification that shouldn’t have existed. Unknown Contact: I’m sorry. I ran out of time. Me: Who is this? I tried calling. The call failed before it even rang. I told myself it was spam. A prank. One of those creepy automated messages people post about online.
