QUINCY (WGEM) - The Quincy Board of Fire and Police Commission announced Robert T. Finney II as the new interim chief of police Monday night at the city council meeting. The board reported Finney was selected, citing his 35 years of experience in law enforcement leadership, as well as his executive experience to the position. Finney had served as deputy chief of the QPD before going on to serve as chief of police in Carbondale and Champaign, Illinois.

KEOKUK (WGEM) - Main Street is closed from McKinley Avenue to Belknap Boulevard in Keokuk, Iowa, after a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and McKinley Avenue in front of Hy-Vee. Police said two people suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The Keokuk Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Lee County Emergency Medical Services and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded.

NEW LONDON, Mo. (WGEM) - A two-vehicle crash and a rollover occurred on Highway 61, north of New London, Missouri, Sunday evening, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. MSHP reported that one vehicle changed lanes and struck the other vehicle. The first vehicle traveled off the road and overturned, according to MSHP. A female occupant of the overturned vehicle was transported to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, via air evac, MSHP reported.
