Single-cell transcriptomic analysis of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma identifies an NR1H3-associated angiogenic macrophage state
Abstract Introduction: Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) is a common keratinocyte-derived malignancy whose progression is strongly influenced by the tumor microenvironment. Although recent studies have begun to describe cellular diversity in squamous cell carcinomas, the regulatory architecture coordinating epithelial, immune, and stromal interactions in cSCC remains incompletely understood.
AAV gene therapy for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia: a phase 1 trial
Abstract Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH) is a rare autosomal disease characterized by severely elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels and accelerated atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. More than 80% of patients with HoFH carry low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) mutations.
Dynamic prognostic nutritional index trajectories predict survival outcomes in nasopharyngeal carcinoma with persistently undetectable plasma Epstein–Barr virus DNA
Abstract Background: This study aims to identify prognostic factors in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients with persistently undetectable plasma Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) DNA and to evaluate the association between longitudinal changes in the prognostic nutritional index (PNI) during treatment and survival outcomes. Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study of 412 patients with persistently undetectable plasma EBV DNA NPC.

Ligilactobacillus Murinus and Lactobacillus Johnsonii Suppress Macrophage Pyroptosis in Atherosclerosis through Butyrate‐GPR109A‐GSDMD Axis
1 Introduction Atherosclerosis is a chronic and progressive disease featuring the highest morbidity and mortality rates worldwide.[1] During the past 30 years, aspirin has been considered the cornerstone in the primary and secondary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD).[2] The best-characterized molecular mechanism of action of low-dose aspirin in preventing atherothrombosis is related to the irreversible nature of platelet cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) inactivation.[2, 3]...

Solute carrier family 15 member 4, an emerging therapeutic target for systemic lupus erythematosus
Abstract Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a prototypical autoimmune disease characterized by excessive production of type I interferons (IFNs) and autoantibodies with limited effective clinical treatments. Solute carrier family 15 member 4 (SLC15A4), a proton-coupled oligopeptide transporter, facilitates the transmembrane transport of L-histidine and some di- and tripeptides from the lysosome to the cytosol.

Quality Evaluation and Optimization of Idle Goods Swap Platform Based on Grounded Theory and Importance-Performance Analysis
1. Introduction In recent years, with increasing concern over environmental issues, consumers have become more aware of the negative impacts of overproduction and overconsumption on both the environment and their personal lives. At the same time, with the slowing pace of economic growth, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic, consumers are making more rational purchasing decisions.

Ecological restoration is crucial in mitigating carbon loss caused by permafrost thawing on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau - Communications Earth & Environment
Abstract Climate change leads to permafrost thawing, accelerating carbon emissions increases, challenges the goal of climate change mitigation. However, it remains unknown whether implementing ecological restoration projects in Alpine areas can offset the adverse effects of permafrost thawing locally. Here we took the Qinghai‒Tibet Plateau as an example to explore this issue based on the improved Biome-BGCMuSo model.
2D arrays of hollow carbon nanoboxes: outward contraction-induced hollowing mechanism in Fe−N−C catalysts
2D arrays of hollow carbon nanoboxes: outward contraction-induced hollowing mechanism in Fe−N−C catalysts Maximizing the utilization efficiency of monatomic Fe sites in Fe−N−C catalysts poses a significant challenge for their commercial applications. Herein, a structural and electronic dual-modulation is achieved on a Fe−N−C catalyst to substantially enhance its catalytic performance.

Recent Advance of Triboelectric Nanogenerator-Based Electrical Stimulation in Healthcare
6. Summary and Challenges TENG is widely investigated in the field of medical therapy, especially in implantable medical devices, due to its advantage of harvesting other mechanical energy and converting it into electrical energy. It can be used not only as an energy harvesting device but also as an alternative therapeutic tool through its electrical stimulation directly acting on the cells in the body to achieve therapeutic effects.

The impact of ecological restoration on ecosystem services change modulated by drought and rising CO2
1 INTRODUCTION In recent decades, natural ecosystems have undergone severe degradation due to inappropriate human activities (Mitchard, 2018; Santos et al., 2020).
Climate Change and Rising CO2 Amplify the Impact of Land Use/Cover Change on Carbon Budget Differentially Across China
Effect of LUCC on the Carbon Budget Under Climate Change and Rising CO2 CCRC amplified the result of LUCC on the carbon budget by 4.13% and 11.60%, respectively (Figure 5). Meanwhile, the amplification rates of CCRC was varied on different LUC trajectories caused carbon budget changes. Climate change amplified the contributions of grassland planting and deforestation/desertification to the carbon budget by approximately 26.70% and 30.30%, respectively.
PM2.5 Exposure of Mice during Spermatogenesis: A Role of Inhibitor κB Kinase 2 in Pro-Opiomelanocortin Neurons
Introduction A worldwide decline in the sperm count has been noted over the past decades (Levine et al. 2017). However, the causes for this decline are not yet fully understood. The widespread and continuing pattern of this decline suggests that it is attributed primarily to adverse environmental exposures (Levine et al. 2017).

Paternal Exposure to PM2.5 Programs Offspring’s Energy Homeostasis
Considerable studies show that maternal exposure to ambient fine particulate matter (PM2.5) programs offspring’s susceptibility to obesity. However, few studies have investigated the effect of paternal PM2.5 exposure on offspring’s energy homeostasis. This study thus tested whether paternal PM2.5 exposure programs offspring’s energy homeostasis. Male C57Bl/6J mice were exposed to filtered air or concentrated ambient PM2.5 (CAP) for 12 weeks and then mated with normal female C57Bl/6J mice.
Detection of Mitochondria Membrane Potential to Study CLIC4 Knockdown-induced HN4 Cell Apoptosis In Vitro
In the present study, Rh123 was applied to detect the MMP. Initially, HN4 cells were cultured for the following fluorescence staining experiments. Tweezers were used to put circular coverslips on the bottom of 6-well plates (Figure 1A). The coverslips were coated with polylysine for 5 min and then the polylysine removed via pipettor (Figure 1B). Then HN4 cells were trypsinized and seeded on the coverslips placed in the bottom of 6-well plates.
Soil nutrient detection method based on combined ATR and DRIFT mid-infrared spectroscopy
Conventional soil nutrient detection methods are time-consuming and laborious and cannot realize rapid measurement. Mid-infrared spectroscopy with the advantages of high detection speed, non-destructive testing, and pretreatment-free process has been widely applied in soil nutrient analysis. In previous studies on the detection of soil compositions, diffuse reflection and attenuated total reflection are two commonly adopted ways in mid-infrared spectroscopy.
