Seamless vital sign monitoring with fiber optic sensing technology: validating the sitting SMART MAT for community health in static and mobile conditions
Abstract Background: Continuous vital sign monitoring is critical but often labor-intensive. Fiberoptic technologies, like the SMART MAT, offer non-invasive assessment. Adapting this for a seated posture addresses clinical needs by promoting safe patient mobilization and reducing complications associated with prolonged bed rest.
K acquisition from vermiculite by sweet potato also improves K nutrition in neighboring plants
Abstract Intensive agriculture requires substantial external potassium (K) application to meet crop K requirements. Recent research has revealed that sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas), a crop with high K requirements, could acquire sufficient K from a mixture of Andosol and vermiculite without the need for additional fertilization. However, the specific K component in growth medium being utilized is still unclear.

Nitrogen Supply Regulates Stomatal Traits and Reduces Diurnal Transpiration Rate in Potato Under Non‐Limiting Water Conditions
1 Introduction Global climate warming, driven by the greenhouse effect, is expected to exacerbate the irregularity and frequency of precipitation patterns worldwide (Sun et al. 2018). Such alterations in precipitation, particularly more frequent and severe droughts, pose significant risks to agricultural production, as the agricultural sector is responsible for approximately 70% of global freshwater consumption (Clarke and King 2004).

Frontiers | Psychological wellbeing and social emotional competence of Chinese children and adolescents in the post-pandemic era: patterns, determinants, and interrelations
1 Introduction Psychological wellbeing (PWB) and social emotional competence (SEC) are fundamental to healthy development and good quality of life among children and adolescents during their transition into adulthood (1, 2). PWB is a core feature of mental health that encompasses multiple aspects of positive functioning and experiences such as hedonic and eudemonic happiness (3, 4).

Aortic Periannular Abscess Missed by Transthoracic Echocardiography: A Case Report
In optimal imaging conditions, transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) can detect vegetations as small as 2 mm on valves. However, in our case, the 2-mm vegetation was overlooked by TTE. 1 Introduction Without aggressive treatment, the mortality rate of endocarditis is almost 100%, and even with the best treatment, one-third of patients still die [1].

Clinical efficacy and safety of composite non‐cross‐linked hyaluronic acid for treating tear trough‐lower eyelid bag deformity
1 INTRODUCTION The skin appearance around the eyes is a specific barometer of aging. The tear trough-lower eyelid bag complex, as the indication of periorbital aging, is mainly characterized by skin laxity, and bulging orbital fat, partially accompanied by the appearance of a sunken tear trough below the bulge, which can lead to a tired and fatigued face. The facial retaining ligaments are the main cause of periorbital grooves.

iNGNN-DTI: prediction of drug-target interaction with interpretable nested graph neural network and pretrained molecule models
Drugs typically refer to small molecules, while targets often refer to macromolecules such as proteins. A drug may change the function of a biological target when it binds to the target, which is known as drug–target interaction (DTI) (Sachdev and Gupta, 2019). The prediction of DTI plays a key role in drug discovery. Since it is time-consuming and expensive to identify the DTI pairs through biological assays, many computer-assisted methods have been developed (Ou-Yang et al., 2012).

Using IP umbrella to shield data shows legal gaps
In the age of the digital economy, data must be seen as one of the core factors of production. Yet, laws and regulations covering the data industry appear somewhat underdeveloped, with overarching and clear rules still to be established for many areas of data-related rights, functions and interests. Data is usually understood as intangible assets similar to intellectual achievements, with its protectable value measured by “contributions”.

In the spring - Archyworldys
□Yan Yi “As soon as the beginning of spring is over, there is actually no sign of spring in the city, but the wind is really different. The wind seems to become warm and humid overnight. When such a wind blows over, I want to cry Now, I know I was moved by myself.” This is a passage in the movie “The Beginning of Spring”, said by the character played by Jiang Wenli. We have reason to believe that the spring in the movie is no different from the spring I am in right now.
Physioxia improves the selectivity of hematopoietic stem cell expansion cultures
In this report, we demonstrate that the selectivity of PVA-based mouse HSC expansion cultures can be improved by optimizing the O2 concentrations. Furthermore, we discovered that HSCs expand at the expense of GVHD-causing T cells under optimized low O2 conditions. In addition, we present proof-of-concept data for the combined use of expanded HSCs and antibody-mediated inhibition of immunologic rejection in allogeneic HSCT.
Self-Enhanced Acoustic Impedance Difference Strategy for Detecting the Acidic Tumor Microenvironment
B-mode ultrasound imaging is a significant anatomic technique in clinic, which can display the anatomic variation in tissues. However, it is difficult to evaluate the functional state of organs and display the physiological information in organisms such as the tumor acidic microenvironment (TME). Herein, inspired by the phenomenon of sonographic acoustic shadow during detecting calculus in clinic, a strategy of self-enhanced acoustic impedance difference is proposed to monitor the acidic TME.
High mobility organic semiconductor for constructing high efficiency carbon nitride heterojunction photocatalysts
High mobility organic semiconductor for constructing high efficiency carbon nitride heterojunction photocatalysts Yan Yi, Siyu Wang, Hantang Zhang, Jie Liu, Xiuqiang Lu, Lang Jiang, Chengji Sui, Hai Fan, Shiyun Ai and Jianwu Sun Abstract Graphitic carbon nitride (CN) has attracted worldwide attention due to its low-cost, environmental friendliness and tunable structures. However, CN photocatalyst still suffers from low charge separation efficiency issue.
Media debates about China’s role as a global public goods supplier: frame contestation in reporting on the Chinese COVID-19 vaccine - Humanities and Social Sciences Communications
Abstract This study examines different and even conflicting media frames for the Chinese COVID-19 vaccine as a global public good. Through a standardised content analysis approach examining media frames for the Chinese COVID-19 vaccine across three media outlets, the study reveals that Chinese media emphasise the safety and efficacy of their vaccines, highlighting their benefits for the international community.

Single-phase coronary artery CT angiography extracted from stress dynamic myocardial CT perfusion on third-generation dual-source CT: Validation by coronary angiography
In this pilot study, we demonstrated the feasibility of coronary analysis using SP-CCTA images extracted from stress dynamic multi-phase myocardial CTP on a third-generation DSCT, potentially replacing a separate CCTA acquisition for anatomic evaluation of symptomatic patients with suspected or known CAD.Accurate diagnostic methods that combine morphologic and functional information within one single modality examination may be useful for patients with suspected or known CAD [44].
