Myeloid STING-ZBP1 Axis Drives Atherosclerosis by Inducing Macrophage PANoptosis
Abstract Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease in which dysregulated programmed cell death (PCD) critically contributes to plaque progression and instability. PANoptosis, an integrated inflammatory cell death pathway encompassing apoptosis, pyroptosis, and necroptosis, has recently emerged as a key regulator of inflammatory diseases. However, its contribution to atherosclerosis and the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain poorly defined.
Resource optimization scheduling method for netted radar ISAR imaging under sweep jamming
Abstract Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) enables high-resolution imaging of moving targets, extracting critical features such as target structure and scattering characteristics to provide essential support for target identification. In netted ISAR systems, multi-radar collaborative scheduling can overcome the resource limitations of single-radar systems and enhance multi-target imaging capabilities.
Comparative efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine external therapies for diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome: a systematic review and network meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) is a chronic functional gastrointestinal disorder that significantly impairs patients’ quality of life. While various Chinese medicine external therapies (CMETs) have been widely utilized, their relative superiority and safety remain poorly defined. This study aims to evaluate and rank the comparative efficacy and safety of different CMETs for IBS-D.
Beyond conventional therapies: the evolution of targeted agents and immunotherapies in triple-negative breast cancer
Abstract Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a clinically aggressive and molecularly heterogeneous subtype defined by the absence of estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and HER2 expression. Chemotherapy remains the mainstay of treatment, but recent advances in immune checkpoint inhibitors, DNA damage response-targeted therapies, antibody–drug conjugates, and small-molecule inhibitors have expanded therapeutic options.
Tegoprazan-based dual therapy versus bismuth-containing quadruple therapy for Helicobacter pylori eradication: a prospective, multicenter, open-label, non-inferiority, randomized controlled trial
Abstract Background Current standard therapies for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) are limited by side effects and antibiotic resistance. Evidence suggests that high-dose amoxicillin dual therapy with a proton pump inhibitor offers comparable efficacy with an improved safety profile. Methods This trial substituted the novel acid blocker tegoprazan for a proton pump inhibitor in the dual therapy regimen. We enrolled 400 patients with confirmed H.

Branched-chain amino acids ameliorate CD4 + T-cell-associated gut immune inflammation in Parkinson’s disease
Abstract Previous studies have shown that alterations in the gut microbiota and its derived metabolites, branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), are correlated with T-cell-associated immune imbalance and Parkinson’s disease (PD). However, the associations among BCAAs, gastrointestinal dysfunction and T-cell-related gut inflammation remain unclear. This study showed that the constipation symptoms in the PD mice persisted after chronic MPTP treatment.

June 21, 2025 | Ophthalmology Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between systemic inflammation markers and early neuronal and microvascular changes in the retinal and choroidal regions of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) without clinical signs of diabetic retinopathy (DR), utilizing wide-field swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography (SS-OCTA).
High coupling efficiency wedge-shaped cylindrical lensed fiber for the 2 µm band
It has always been difficult to achieve high-efficiency optical coupling from edge-emitting semiconductor laser diodes (LDs) to fibers, especially for the mid-infrared wavelength range due to the larger divergence angle. To improve the coupling efficiency, we systematically put up a theoretical model based on the hyperbolic-shaped fiber and used a genetic algorithm to optimize the wedge angle and tip radius of the wedge-shaped cylindrical lensed fiber, calculating the maximal coupling efficiency.

Elongation of the nascent avian foregut requires coordination of intrinsic and extrinsic cell behaviors
Abstract The foregut tube gives rise to the lungs and upper gastrointestinal tract, enabling vital functions of respiration and digestion. How the foregut tube forms during embryonic development has historically received considerable attention, but over the past few decades this question has primarily been addressed indirectly through studies on morphogenesis of the primitive heart tube, a closely related process. As a result, many aspects of foregut development remain unresolved.

ALDH3A1 upregulation inhibits neutrophils N2 polarization and halts oral cancer growth
Tumor-associated neutrophils (TANs) are among the most abundant inflammatory cells in tumor microenvironment (TME). Aldehyde dehydrogenase 3A1 (ALDH3A1) is significantly reduced in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), ALDH3A1 overexpression suppresses tumorigenesis by inhibiting inflammation. This study investigated the relationship and mechanisms underlying the crosstalk between ALDH3A1 and TANs in OSCC.
