A spiking neural network-in-logic architecture based on reconfigurable molybdenum disulfide dual-gate transistors with ferroelectric gating
Abstract Efficient processing of high-dimensional perceptual data is a challenge in modern electronics, as neuromorphic systems typically process all input features indiscriminately, leading to excessive neuronal activation and high energy consumption. A key issue is the lack of a hardware mechanism to suppress task-irrelevant information at the front-end before neuromorphic computation and preserve reconfigurability.
Single-crystalline CoSi semimetals with high conductivity and reliability
Abstract As the size of state-of-the-art copper interconnects shrinks to the nanoscale, carrier scattering greatly increases their resistance, causing signal delay and reliability issues. Alternative conductors are therefore needed to sustain interconnect scaling beyond conventional charge-transport mechanisms. Here we demonstrate CoSi semimetal for highly scalable, conductive and reliable interconnects.
HIV-associated immune remodeling in cervical cancer: implications for immunotherapy, biomarkers, and trial design
Abstract Women living with HIV experience a disproportionate burden of persistent high-risk human papillomavirus infection and cervical cancer, yet they remain underrepresented in pivotal immunotherapy trials. Consequently, the effects of HIV-associated immune remodeling on the cervical cancer tumor immune microenvironment, biomarker interpretation, and response to immune checkpoint inhibition remain poorly defined.
Using Side Reactions for Extra Capacitive Energy Storage Based on Spin Regulated MnO 2
1 Introduction Potential-dependent adsorption of water molecules on the surface of electrode materials represents one of the fundamental processes for modern electrochemistry [1-3]. Gaining a profound understanding of this phenomenon is crucial for the application of innovative electrochemical technologies.
Single-cell transcriptomics and whole-genome sequencing reveal the tumor landscape in breast carcinosarcoma
Abstract Breast carcinosarcoma is a rare and highly aggressive subtype of metaplastic breast carcinoma. It is typically negative for estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), and displays greater invasiveness and metastatic potential than triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
A single-cell atlas of alternative wing development in two hemipteran species
Abstract Insect wing polyphenism enables a single genome to produce distinct wing morphs in response to environmental cues, yet its underlying cellular determinants remain elusive. Here, we perform single-cell RNA sequencing of long-winged- and short-winged-destined wing buds of Pyrrhocoris apterus and Nilaparvata lugens, identifying six conserved cell types with comparable proportions between the two morphs.
Directly probing the carrier transfer length in 2D-material transistors
Abstract Transistors based on two-dimensional (2D) materials are on the roadmap for the beyond 1 nm logic technology node1. This stems from their ultrathin thickness and defect-free surfaces, granting remarkable electrostatic gate control2,3,4,5. The physical channel length of 2D transistors may eventually reach <10 nm for advanced node devices.
Radical-omics reveals the hydrogen-abstraction pathway of isoprene oxidation
Abstract Isoprene is the most abundant biogenic volatile organic compound (BVOC) and has far-reaching impacts on secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation globally. Its atmospheric oxidation produces diverse isomeric radicals that drive subsequent chain propagation and mechanistic branching. However, high-throughput experimental characterization of these isomeric-resolved radicals remains unavailable, leaving critical gaps in the underlying molecular mechanisms.
Scaling two-dimensional semiconductor nanoribbons for high-performance electronics
Abstract As silicon transistors scale toward future technology nodes, three-dimensional architectures—including gate-all-around (GAA) nanoribbon and complementary field-effect transistors (CFETs)—require channel widths in the tens of nanometers to meet density targets. Monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), with their atomically thin bodies, are promising channel materials for these architectures, yet most TMD-based FETs remain limited to micrometer-scale widths.
Failure analysis and structural design improvement of support device for heavy-duty rack and pinion hydraulic actuator
Abstract This study investigates failure analysis and design improvements for a linear rolling guide (LRG) support device in a heavy-duty rack and pinion hydraulic actuator. Premature crushing failure of the end rollers in the LRG support device was observed during prototype field testing. In order to identify the underlying causes, a high-fidelity finite element model of the rack and pinion hydraulic actuator and the LRG support device was established and subjected to numerical analysis.
Comparing pregnancy outcomes in a population with natural versus surgical reduction of twin pregnancies: a retrospective cohort study
Abstract Objective: To compare the cycle of initial twin pregnancy with vanishing twin syndrome (VTS), the cycle of initial twin pregnancy after surgical reduction, and the live birth outcome of initial singleton pregnancy. To provide clinical evidence for confirming that vanishing twin syndrome (VTS) and surgical reduction may affect obstetric and perinatal outcomes.
TEAD1 Enhances Exosome Secretion and Promotes Exosome-Mediated Tissue Regeneration
1 Introduction Exosomes are nanosized extracellular vesicles secreted by various cell types. They are typically round in shape, ranging from ∼40 to 160 nm in diameter (average ∼100 nm), and are enclosed by a double-layered phospholipid membrane containing diverse bioactive molecules such as lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. Exosomes mediate critical biological signaling processes, influencing systemic physiology and facilitating intercellular communication.
PRICE: direct and robust detection of microRNAs at single-nucleotide resolution - Nature Communications
Abstract Accurate single-nucleotide discrimination of miRNA is clinically vital because small sequence variations can have significant phenotypic and clinical consequences, yet existing techniques can only detect single nucleotide variations (SNVs) at specific loci. Here, we present a generalized peptide nucleic acid (PNA) mediated CRISPR/Cas13a system (PRICE), enabling detection of SNVs in miRNA sequence without sacrificing the sensitivity.
Novel rapid adsorption evaluation for activated carbon via electrical resistance with temperature-humidity compensation
ABSTRACT Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) endanger the environment and human health. Among various control methods, activated carbon (AC) adsorption has become an industrial mainstream due to its high removal efficiency. The traditional iodine value (IV) assessment method is time-consuming and difficult to apply in real time. It is important to note that AC, after adsorbing VOCs, is classified as hazardous waste.

Sb-contacted MoS2 flash memory for analogue in-memory searches - Nature Nanotechnology
Abstract The explosion of artificial intelligence and edge devices has exposed a critical bottleneck in traditional hardware: the slow data transfer between memory and processing. Content-addressable memories offer a promising solution by processing information directly within the memory, but existing implementations using static random-access memory and, more recently, those using emerging non-volatile memories are constrained by the performance of silicon transistors.

Debugging Dynamic Content Extraction: waitUntil Options in Browser Rendering Services
When building web scraping solutions, one of the trickiest challenges is handling modern websites that load content dynamically. Today I'll share a production bug I encountered and the simple fix that solved it. The Setup I'm working on Zin Flow, a web-to-EPUB converter that extracts article content from web pages. Our backend uses Cloudflare's Browser Rendering service for server-side rendering and content extraction.

As a developer working on ZinFlow, a web-to-EPUB converter app, I recently learned an expensive lesson about database constraints and proper architecture design. Let me share this painful but educational experience.
Debugging EPUB Language Tags: How User Feedback Led to a Deep Dive into Kindle's Font Selection Logic
TL;DR: Red Note users couldn't access Chinese fonts on Kindle. Turns out, incorrect EPUB language metadata was the culprit. Here's how we fixed it and what I learned about e-book standards. The Bug Report That Started Everything Last month, I got this bug report from a Red Note user: "My converted EPUBs look perfect in Apple Books, but on Kindle, I can't select any Chinese fonts.
Reducing the clustering challenge in the IoT using two disjoint convex hulls - Scientific Reports
Abstract Accurate clustering of IoT devices is a promising challenge. We have observed that a few studies have been performed to address this challenge. However, they are expensive or do not shape accurate clustering. To fill this gap, in this study, we first solve a geometric version of a big challenge in pure mathematics: the NP-hard “Almost \(2-SAT\)” problem. Then, we solve it in a polynomial time. To clarify the concept, we present it as the “Two Disjoint Convex Hulls” challenge.
Ultrasensitive detection of clinical pathogens through a target-amplification-free collateral-cleavage-enhancing CRISPR-CasΦ tool - Nature Communications
Abstract Clinical pathogen diagnostics detect targets by qPCR (but with low sensitivity) or blood culturing (but time-consuming). Here we leverage a dual-stem-loop DNA amplifier to enhance non-specific collateral enzymatic cleavage of an oligonucleotide linker between a fluophore and its quencher by CRISPR-CasΦ, achieving ultrasensitive target detection.

Electronic doping induced increase in coercive field of sliding ferroelectric $1{T}^{\ensuremath{'}}\text{-Re}{\mathrm{S}}_{2}$ multilayers
The precise manipulation of the coercive field in ferroelectric materials is essential for understanding their intrinsic characteristics and broadening their practical applications. In most displacement-type ferroelectrics, the coercive field typically decreases monotonically with increasing electronic doping levels. However, the modulation of coercive fields in sliding ferroelectrics, due to their unique ferroelectric origins, remains an intriguing and unexplored territory.

Evaluation of FXR Activity in Pollutants Identified in Sewage Sludge and Subsequent in vitro and in vivo Characterization of Metabolic Effects of Triphenyl Phosphate | Environmental Health Perspectives | Vol. 0, No. 0
Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is the most common liver disease worldwide, and increasing evidence suggests that exposure to environmental pollutants is associated with the increased incidence of MASLD. The farnesoid X receptor (FXR) plays an important role in the development of MASLD by regulating bile acids (BAs) and lipid metabolism. However, whether FXR-active pollutants are the environmental drivers of MASLD remains unclear.
