ZrO2-enhanced Ni@C catalysts for the selective hydrogenation of maleic anhydride to γ-butyrolactone
Abstract Ni@C catalysts modified with ZrO2 (denoted as NiZr@C) were synthesized and evaluated for the liquid‑phase hydrogenation of maleic anhydride to γ‑butyrolactone. Characterization by XRD, TEM, XPS, H2‑TPD, ICP-OES, and in‑situ FTIR revealed that there is a strong metal–support interaction between Ni and ZrO2 with the introduction of ZrO2.
Spontaneous splenic rupture in a patient with paratyphoid a fever: a case report and literature review
Abstract Background: Enteric fever, including both typhoid and paratyphoid fevers, is associated with a significant burden of morbidity and mortality in high-epidemic countries. However, as its incidence has declined in most countries, early diagnosis of its complications has become a clinical challenge. Spontaneous splenic rupture (SSR) is a rare but dangerous complication of typhoid fever, and its occurrence in patients with paratyphoid fever remains poorly understood.
A weight-ensemble dual-target optimization strategy for simultaneously enhancing magnetic and mechanical properties of FeCoNiCuTi high-entropy alloys
Abstract While high-entropy alloys are well known for their outstanding mechanical properties, a key research challenge remains in the simultaneous imparting of magnetic, electrical, or other functional characteristics to broaden their range of applications. However, this exploration is hindered by a fundamental microstructural trade‑off: homogenization favors magnetic properties whereas heterogenization enhances mechanical performance.
