Performance of multi-strategy optimized mayfly optimization algorithm for location selection of university reimbursement form submission terminals
Abstract The Mayfly Optimization Algorithm (MOA) is a swarm intelligence algorithm with competitive search capability, but it may suffer from premature convergence and unstable late-stage exploitation. This study proposes a multi-strategy optimized mayfly optimization algorithm (MSMOA) to improve the overall optimization performance of MOA.
Multi-index synergistic optimization of drilling-fluid inhibition and reservoir protection based on RSM and the entropy weight method
Abstract The hydration and dispersion of clay minerals in deep coal reservoirs can readily induce wellbore instability, whereas the adsorption and retention of certain treatment agents on coal surfaces and within pore throats may impair reservoir permeability. In this study, deep coal reservoir rocks from the Ordos Basin were investigated.
The pathogenic role of double-negative B cells in autoimmune diseases
Abstract Double-negative (DN) B cells have emerged as pivotal players in autoimmune diseases, transitioning from an overlooked exhausted subpopulation to a lineage with potent pathogenic potential. Based on surface marker expression, DN B cells are subdivided into four distinct subsets: DN1, DN2, DN3, and DN4. This review provides a comprehensive overview of these subsets, focusing on their origins, phenotypes, and developmental trajectories.
Platelets in systemic lupus erythematosus: from hemostatic allies to pathogenic drivers
Abstract Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune disease; hematologic involvement is common and strongly associated with prognosis. Platelets—the second most abundant cellular component of peripheral blood—are anucleate cytoplasmic fragments. Their canonical roles include hemostasis, thrombosis, and vascular repair.

The molecular mechanisms and potential therapeutic implications of the crosstalk between DNA methylation and metabolic reprogramming in thyroid cancer | Cell Death Discovery
Abstract One of the fastest-growing malignant tumors in the world is thyroid cancer (TC), and there are currently no effective treatments for its aggressive subtypes, such as anaplastic carcinoma and radioactive iodine-refractory differentiated thyroid carcinoma. Recent investigations have shown that DNA methylation and metabolic reprogramming are not independent events, but rather create a closely interconnected, mutually reinforcing network of carcinogenic processes.
Metabolism fluctuation coupling can track the progression of dementia and describe MST1 gene-related pathology
Abstract Cognitive resilience refers to an individual’s capacity to cope with brain aging and pathology and to delay cognitive decline, whereas existing techniques such as functional magnetic resonance imaging capture only macroscopic features without linking them to neurophysiological mechanisms.
Enhanced Triboelectric Microplasma with Incorporated Drainage Electrode
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! The atmospheric pressure microplasma jet (APMJ) is a low-energy jet with widespread applications. However, the bulkiness, high cost, immobility, and danger of commercial devices limit their further development. Here, a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) microplasma, which is characterized to be portable, inexpensive, easy, and safe based on a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG), is proposed to generate an APMJ.

Exosome-mediated metabolic reprogramming: effects on thyroid cancer progression and tumor microenvironment remodeling - Molecular Cancer
As an important carrier of intercellular communication, EVs are mainly divided into three categories: apoptotic bodies, microvesicles and exosomes. Among them, exosomes are small extracellular vesicles with a diameter of 30–150 nm, and ALIX, TSG101, CD9, CD63 and CD81 are their markers.
Prevalence, Risk Factors, and Genetic Evolution of Rat Hepatitis E Virus in Small Mammals from Southwestern Yunnan, China
Rat hepatitis E virus (rat HEV, Rocahepevirus genotype C1) represents a potential zoonotic threat, but its epidemiological and evolutionary characteristics in small mammals remain poorly understood, especially in regions with complex geography. Between 2022 to 2024, we collected 818 small mammals from seven border counties and cities in Yunnan, China.
Inducing bacterial calcification for systematic treatment and immunomodulation against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus
Abstract Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) has become one of the deadliest bacteria globally due to antibiotic resistance. In this study, we crosslinked antigen-binding fragments of monoclonal antibodies against the wall-teichoic acid of S. aureus with polysialic acid to form an antibody‒PSA conjugate, which can effectively target and induce calcification on the surface of MRSA.

Interfacial Engineering of Biocompatible Nanocapsules for Near‐Infrared‐Triggered Drug Release and Photothermal Therapy
1 Introduction Chemotherapy is the most commonly used cancer treatment approach for delivering chemical drugs to tumors.[1] However, the toxic side effects of current chemotherapeutic agents, such as blood disorders and cardiac toxicity, limit their clinical applicability and pose significant risks to patients.[2] Smart delivery technology is a potential approach to solve the problem owing to its controlled release function only under different stimuli, such as pH,[3] temperature,[4]...

Qualitative properties of solutions for dual parabolic equation involving uniformly elliptic nonlocal operator
In this research, we study certain characteristics of the solution for an equation involving uniformly elliptic nonlocal operator by establishing various maximum principles in bounded and unbounded regions. Additionally, we don't need the conditions that the narrow region principle's bound assumption and decay in the unbounded domain.

Universal scalefree non-Hermitian skin effect near the Bloch point
The scalefree non-Hermitian skin effect (NHSE) refers to the phenomenon that the localization length of skin modes scales proportionally with system size in non-Hermitian systems. Authors of recent studies have demonstrated that the scalefree NHSE can be induced through various mechanisms, including the critical NHSE, local non-Hermiticity, and the boundary impurity effect. Nevertheless, these methods require careful modeling and precise parameter tuning.

A Methodology for Assessing Capacity of the Terminal Maneuvering Area Based on Service Resource Equilibrium
4.2. Model Validation by Monte Carlo Simulation To verify the accuracy of the computation results obtained from the model, this study employs the Monte Carlo method [24] to develop and implement a numerical simulation program, which is subsequently used to assess the capacity of the terminal area at Hulunbuir Hailar Airport (ZBLA). The simulation process involves generating a random aircraft flow, which constitutes a critical step [25].

Simple Co-Precipitation of Iron Minerals for the Removal of Phenylarsonic Acid: Insights into the Adsorption Performance and Mechanism
Abstract : In this study, three kinds of iron minerals, ferrihydrite, hematite, and goethite, were prepared by a simple coprecipitation method for the adsorption and removal of phenylarsonic acid (PAA). The adsorption of PAA was explored, and the influences of ambient temperature, pH, and co-existing anions on adsorption were evaluated.
