Large language models reveal a systematic preference in clinical immunotherapy guidelines: a multi-model comparative analysis

Abstract Clinical guidelines may sometimes contain divergent treatment recommendations, creating uncertainty in therapeutic decision-making. To evaluate the performance of four large language models (LLMs) (GPT-4o, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, Gemini 1.5 Pro, Deepseek-V3) in analyzing discrepancies between the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) guidelines.

Morphology-guided trihybridized metamaterials for dual-band acoustic attenuation and aerodynamic pressure relief
Abstract Confined transit hubs require acoustic barriers that reduce broadband noise while preserving ventilation and pressure relief. Here we show a morphology-guided trihybridized acoustic metamaterial that integrates a central micro-perforated panel (MPP), peripheral space-coiling Helmholtz resonators (HRs), and central–peripheral dual-tension membranes.
Simulated microgravity weakens wheat root microbial network against pathogens
Abstract Fungal pathogens are well-recognized biotic stressors for plants under terrestrial gravity and also pose risks to space crop production, but their effects on root-associated microbial networks under microgravity conditions remain poorly understood. Here, we profiled bacterial and fungal communities in wheat seedlings with or without Fusarium graminearum infection under normal gravity and simulated microgravity, and linked network properties to plant growth and hormone profiles.

Monochromatic UV metalens with continuous zoom capability via metasurface rotation
The dynamic focal length modulation in the ultraviolet band is essential for applications such as biological imaging and lithography. Conventional approaches, however, often depend on intricate mechanical systems, limiting their efficiency and precision. Here, we propose a double-layer metasurface architecture that enables continuous and wide-range focal length tuning by the relative rotation between the upper and lower metasurfaces, without axial displacement.

Light extraction efficiency enhancement of deep ultraviolet light-emitting diodes using wafer-scale SiO2-based patterned dielectric nanostructures
The progress of AlGaN-based deep ultraviolet light-emitting diodes is significantly limited by their unideal light extraction efficiency. In this work, a cost-efficient nanosphere lithography technique is utilized to fabricate wafer-scale SiO2-based patterned dielectric nanostructures on the backside of sapphire substrates.

Flexible Spacer-block Multi-component Copolymerized Donors Enable Resilient Organic Solar Cells with over 40% Crack-onset Strain
Flexible Spacer-block Multi-component Copolymerized Donors Enable Resilient Organic Solar Cells with over 40% Crack-onset Strain Multi-component copolymerized donors (MCDs) represent an advantageous electron-donating material for optimizing the efficiency of flexible organic solar cells (f-OSCs). However, the inherent randomness in typical MCD structures often leads to non-uniform structures, thereby compromising intermolecular assembly and molecular organization.

Advances in Stretchable Organic Photovoltaics: Flexible Transparent Electrodes and Deformable Active Layer Design
Stretchable organic photovoltaics (OPVs) have attracted significant attention as promising power sources for wearable electronic systems owing to their superior robustness under repetitive tensile strains and their good compatibility. However, reconciling a high power-conversion efficiency and a reasonable flexibility is a tremendous challenge. In addition, the development of stretchable OPVs must be accelerated to satisfy the increasing requirements of niche markets for mechanical robustness.

Three-dimensional acoustic metamaterials with topological states of different orders and multidirectional waveguiding
The attainment of high-quality wave concentration and manipulation has always been considered as state-of-the-art technology, especially for integrated photonics and phononics. However, the prevention of energy loss caused by backscattering or imperfections remains a grand challenge. With the development of the topological phase of matter, the emergence of topological insulators that support robust conductive edge states but insulating bulk waves provides a possible solution.
