MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - For over 100 years, a cast-iron urn sat right next to a headstone at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Janesville, until it went missing about two weeks ago. Paul Williams has lived in Janesville his entire life. Now, in his retirement, he spends his time restoring headstones at Oak Hill, some dating back to 1851 when it first opened. “It is rewarding to at least make sure they’re remembered,” Williams said. Two weeks ago, one of those headstones lost a critical piece of its legacy.
