LISBON, Maine (WABI) - The Moxie Festival gets underway Friday, bringing together fans of Maine’s iconic soft drink for a three-day summer event. For more than 40 years, Moxie lovers from around the world have attended the annual festival. Events include a 5K road race, a parade, a Moxie chugging contest, and a car show, among others. The event runs throughout August, and a new family-fun 5K has been added this year. About the Cross for LifeFlight Participants raise money by logging miles doing something they love — walking, running, swimming, biking, hiking or paddling. Participants can take part in the month-long challenge, the 5K, or both.
