PLAINVILLE, CT. (WFSB) - Community members in Plainville met with town leaders to discuss road safety improvements in the Metacomet area, where concerns over speeding have grown in recent years. Two speed bumps currently exist on Metacomet Road. One proposal discussed would add two more temporary speed bumps further up the road. A one-week traffic study examined four areas of the neighborhood. Three of them recorded over 3,000 vehicles in seven days. The neighborhood has just over 400 total homes.
