Visitors can meet Daisy, an 11-year-old mustang mare who loves attention and being around people. They can also meet Twiggy, a 6-year-old thoroughbred mare. Renaissance Floral Gallery and Gabriella’s Cakes are preparing for one of their busiest weekends of the year. Flowers and sweets take center stage Ken Havenstein, owner of Renaissance Floral Gallery, said the shop is stocked with flowers for Mother’s Day. “Hydrangeas, roses of course, and I think the real go-to is kind of a combination of spring flowers,” Havenstein said.

SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. (WBNG) -- Cinco de Mayo festivities were in full swing at Hacienda and El Pulpo on Monday as the restaurants saw their busiest day of the year. Beth Duhr-Ramirez, co-owner of El Pulpo, said the day requires months of preparation. “It’s a day that we have to start preparing for much in advance, like we start talking about it probably in the beginning of the year and making plans for what worked, what didn’t,” Duhr-Ramirez said.
