Cloudflare OS: an open platform for agents, apps, and work
Every organization has a mission, a reason for being. Organizations pass that mission — along with their terminology, procedures, systems, standards, and ways of working — to their people. People, in turn, take this context together with their own experience and work towards the mission. Work can take many forms, from code, to documents and slides, to relationships, to outcomes in the physical world. Some of these are straightforward: code either runs or it doesn’t.

Our Backward Revolution
Over the last half century, a reactionary movement bankrolled by wealthy backers created a broad and effective network of anti-government institutions, think tanks, and media mouthpieces.

Unmasking the Klansman: The Double Life of Asa and Forrest Carter (Hardcover)

The Gentleman's Game | By Dan Carter
When I was just five years old, I was already doing the haka in the mirror by myself. Whacking my legs, whacking my chest — I probably wasn’t doing it all that accurately but I was giving it all I had. When you grow up in New Zealand, it’s ingrained in you from a very young age that rugby is much more than a sport — it’s our sport. Rugby is often compared to a religion in our country, but that may be cutting it short.
The violent life of Kenneth Adams: A story of justice delayed
Historically, Calhoun County native Kenneth Lamar Adams is most remembered for his involvement in two violent events: the 1956 assault in Birmingham of singer Nat King Cole and his role in the 1961 attack on the “Freedom Riders” just outside Anniston. But these episodes were only two of the more than a dozen brutal shootings and beatings he inflicted upon black residents in and around Anniston over a fifteen-year rampage.
A Message to My Fans
Before I was anything, I was a rugby fan. I suppose it really started when I was five years old, and New Zealand cohosted the first-ever Rugby World Cup. This was 1987, and while I have so many memories from around that age that are blurry, that tournament is still crystal clear in my mind. The All Blacks played the very first match of the tournament against Italy in Auckland. And it was during that game (an All Blacks win, naturally) that John Kirwan scored one of the greatest tries I’ve ever seen.

Want to understand Trump? Look at George Wallace [Opinion]
In late September 1968, presidential election polls showed that third-party candidate George Wallace's campaign was surging. With the support of a quarter of white voters, Wallace was within single digits of the Democratic nominee, Vice President Hubert Humphrey. Wallace's dominance in Southern states threatened to prevent any candidate from securing an electoral college majority, which would throw the November election into the House of Representatives. Rene LaVice Feat. BullySongs - Part of Me (Original Mix) - Dancing Astronaut
Rene LaVice‘s disgruntled stand on the drum & bass landscape has earned him considerable industry stripes throughout 2015. Firmly aligned with Andy C’s RAM stronghold, tracks such as ‘Hotblooded’ showed where the Canadian talent’s high octane blend of garage band instruments and beat savvy club work could hold its corner on a global scale.
Poté - Flirt (Original Mix)
Poté has been one of the more exciting emerging artists to take flight from the UK over the past couple of years. With early duties alongside the likes of Black Butter Records and the gradual unveiling of a pretty spectacular live show, tracks such as ‘Katz’ and ‘Before The Light’ have painted the perfect picture for this versatile blend of club fundamentals and experimental electronic.
Competence - not colour or class - most crucial
John’s Goddard’s letter concerning the Hon. Freundel Stuart and the Hon. Chris Sinckler made for very interesting reading. He wants us to believe that the daily condemnation of the two gentlemen is due to their backgrounds and the colour of their skins. A very preposterous assertion indeed, Mr Goddard. Mr Sinckler has failed abysmally as Minister of Finance. In fact, he set his own benchmark for failure by his own fiscal and monetary policies. His Medium-Term Growth and Development Strategy failed.
Jackson Penn - Streelights On Mars
With prior writing credits for Kanye West, Selena Gomez, Steve Aoki and Martin Garrix alike, the debut single of Jackson Penn (real name Freddy Wexler) comes highly anticipated. For his debut, Wexler channels dreamy, guitar-driven pop with a sharp vocal edge. It has all the finesse of his A-list work whilst also breathing some new and intricate life into the process, most notably through his exceptional performance hallmarks.
Poté - Model (Original Mix)
There are many sides to the musical output of British prospect Poté. While his Fire for Fire EP took a far more experimental approach, his roots are laced deeply in a vivid output of club work, which once in a while the London-based producer slips comfortably back into.
My Running Gear: Training vs Running
Just hours before the dusty tracks are trampled by man and dog, my feet lead me to Bushy Park where my footprints leave their mark. The golden glow of sunrise long gone, the heat now intensifies the smell of freshly mown grass. The early chirping of birdsong greets me as I beat the crowds.
5 tips to stop money troubles from ruining your marriage-commentary
Plenty of things can kill the romance in a relationship. But traditionally, money and all the complications that come with it sit near the top of the list. Investment advisers who work with hundreds of married clients have seen a lot of spending habits over the years, and there's no doubt that when the numbers in the bank account start dropping, the tempers can start flaring. Money can cause a lot of problems in a marriage. When the wolves are at the door, couples stress, argue and often break up.
Oliver Winters - Stand Your Ground (Original Mix)
2017 has spelled a year of uncertainty for the majority of the electronic dance community. Where many have chased the instant gratification of quick hits and tired vocal chop singles, others have turned to more traditional club sounds to seek some form of lasting relevance. All in all, there’s a lot of lost soul.
Forgotten story of America's whites-only towns
I wasn’t surprised when my wife recounted the conversation. Living in downtown Atlanta, I considered the isolated communities on Sand Mountain a world apart: country, the land of hillbillies, snake-handlers, and inbred family trees. But in his richly documented account of the hidden history of America’s sundown towns, James Loewen shows that Sand Mountain was one of as many as 3,000 communities where whites expelled African Americans between 1890 and 1930.
Schmidt confident Ringrose can shine on debut
Garry Ringrose, Billy Holland and Jack O’Donoghue will make their Ireland debuts on Saturday against Canada at Aviva Stadium. The trio start in a completely changed line-up to the side that beat New Zealand last weekend in Chicago. Twenty-one-year-old Ringrose, from Leinster, gets the nod in the centre, while Munster’s Holland (31) and O’Donoghue (22) come in at second row and number 8 respectively. “He was really close to playing last week, he’s trained really well," said Joe Schmidt of Ringrose.
Belief was biggest factor in Ireland win - Trimble
Before Ireland could take on and beat New Zealand there was another battle to be fought - the mind game. Failure to win any of the 28 previous Tests had naturally taken a collective psychological toll. There were a long list of reasons why Ireland were not going to, and could not win in Chicago. Injuries, withdrawals, a short run-in, an inexperienced bench, an out-half short of match-fitness, an opposition on a record run. Joe Schmidt’s men had no chance.
Jordi Murphy ruled out for up to nine months
Ireland’s Jordi Murphy will be out of action for between six and nine months after damaging the ACL in his left knee, team manager Mick Kearney confirmed today. The Leinster flanker suffered the injury during Saturday’s victory over New Zealand in Chicago. Kearney confirmed that Johnny Sexton, who was replaced in the second half, is not an injury concern.
Close encounters of the All Blacks kind
Ireland face a mammoth task in Chicago on Saturday as they attempt to beat a red hot All Blacks side for the first time in 28 games. As if taking on the double World Cup winners wasn’t hard enough, New Zealand are on a record winning run of 18 matches. In that spell their average winning margin has been 28 points, and they score 5.7 tries per game. Here we take a look back at the ones that got away.
Carter: Sexton must bring A-game for All Blacks
Johnny Sexton needs a “big game” if Ireland are to have any chance of upsetting New Zealand tomorrow, according to former All Black Dan Carter. The triple Heineken Cup winner is set to win his 62nd cap in Chicago (Soldier Field, 8pm Irish time) and in the absence of experienced players like Sean O’Brien and Peter O’Mahony, must take extra responsibility on his shoulders, says the Racing 92 fly-half. “The accuracy of the kicking game is hugely important,” Carter told RTÉ Sport.
Carter: Ireland win would be a huge upset
Former New Zealand star Dan Carter believes it would be a huge shock if Ireland recorded a first ever win against his compatriots this weekend - but he's not completely ruling out the prospect. Ireland face Carter’s old side, who are seeking to extend a record 18-game winning run, in Chicago on Saturday (8pm Irish time) and the 34-year-old doesn’t hold out much hope for Joe Schmidt’s side. “It’ll be a huge upset if [Ireland] do win,” the 2015 World Cup final man of the match told RTÉ Sport.
Practice means making your practice perfect for clients
"How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice." That was a popular phrase when I was growing up. The meaning is you have to work at some thing over and over until you get it right. Even when you get it right you continue to perfect it. It's true with musicians; it's true with athletes, so why wouldn't it be true with financial advisers? How to find a financial adviser you can trust Be a student of the game. Be an educator for your clients. Know your stuff and deliver the goods.
How to find a financial adviser you can trust
The U.S. Department of Labor has recently introduced new rules that will require all financial professionals to stick to the fiduciary standard when giving recommendations to their clients about both their qualified retirement plans and individual retirement accounts. These new rules will be in effect January 1, 2018. But what is a fiduciary? Most people do not know.
The Artist: Being Iniesta
Andres Iniesta was twelve years old when scouts invited him into Barcelona's famous La Masia academy. Shortly after he joined the club, Barca legend Pep Guardiola remarked of him, 'This lad is going to retire us all.' After making his first-team debut at 18, Iniesta became a permanent fixture in the Barcelona midfield, propelling the club to a raft of titles - including an unparalleled six-trophy season in 2009.
What Donald Trump Owes George Wallace
Mr. Wallace’s 1963 inaugural address as governor of Alabama (“Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!”) and his “Stand in the Schoolhouse Door” that same year seemed to limit his role to that of a strictly regional figure, part of Dixie’s long tradition of racist politicians. His presidential candidacy in 1964 and surprising strength in Democratic primaries in Wisconsin, Indiana and Maryland did little to change that national image.
Prevention is the key to fighting homelessness in Connecticut
We all know one person or another who is living paycheck to paycheck and literally a step from being forced onto the street. This happened to a woman I know and her 10-year-old daughter a few weeks ago. In my effort to assist her, I was shocked to learn how few resources are available to keep people in their homes when faced with difficult times.
The Return to the Top
I thought I was done. It was time to retire. We were near the end of the 2013 season, and I was trying to warm myself up one morning. That year I’d suffered a bunch of injuries which resulted in me playing in only a handful of games. But even when I did get game-action, my form just wasn’t there. I was going for a jog, just as I’d done so many times before, but this time was different. In my mind, I could sense myself feel an injury coming on constantly. Did I just pull my calf?
Megalodon Teeth Wash Ashore in NC
It looks like Hurricane Joaquin stirred up a whole lot more than Internet memes in the U.S. This October, a record number of prehistoric Megalodon teeth have washed ashore in Surf City, NC. For treasure hunters and fossil experts alike these shark teeth are the jackpot. Before they were recognized as shark's teeth, Megalodon teeth were mistakenly identified as rocks that had fallen from the moon, or as the petrified tongues of dragons and giant serpents.

Arches Feat. Karen Harding - New Love (Original Mix)
The commercial house spectrum has been spoiled for European prospects over the past 12-months, but Belgian duo Arches has consistently cut above the crowd. Having set the bar with debut single ‘There’s A Place‘ back in 2014, the collective talents of Moonlight Matters and Sound of Stereo are back with a prime first release for The Magician’s Potion imprint to show that the outfit are far from riding the wave, but fuelling it with consistently good music.
The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face (DJ Drew Remix) - Dancing Astronaut
In its original form, The Weeknd’s ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ marked a positive indicator for where pop music in the spotlight was breaching some seriously credible ground. With no shortage of bootlegs making there way onto the internet, LA broadcaster-turned-producer DJ Drew now claims his own stake in the single’s legacy with a quality focus on the club floor.
George Wallace, the Origins of the New Conservatism, and the Transformation of American Politics: Dan T. Carter: 9780807125977: Amazon.com: Books
This is an excellent study on the political career of George Wallace, the former Alabama Governor famed for his stand against integration in the early 1960's and his subsequent runs for the Presidency. Carter portrays Wallace as a complex individual, who seems to have been motivated from the start more by ambition than principle. The book gives an extremely well researched and readable account of Wallace's early life, his family, friendships and formative experiences.
The Politics of Rage: George Wallace, the Origins of the New Conservatism ...
books.google.com - Combining biography with regional and national history, Dan T. In The Politics of Rage, Carter argues persuasively that the four-time...
Wallace: The Classic Portrait of Alabama Governor George Wallace: Marshall Frady: 9780679771289: Amazon.com: Books
This is one of the best written books I have ever read. Marshall Frady wrote using a better version of William Faulkner's "stream of consciousness" method than Faulkner himself!! But Marshall applied it to non-fiction writing. This is an incredibly up-close portrait of George Wallace, in my opinion the quintessential, greatest American politician that ever lived (whether you liked him or hated him, he was a Politician's Politician!). I found out about this book from reading a Jack W.
Dancing Astronaut presents Axis episode 120: Mixed by Coone - Dancing Astronaut
by: Dan Roy Carter Sep 12, 2014 Coone is the latest artist to toughen up the musical landscape for Dancing Astronaut’s AXIS guest mix series. The Belgian hard style don has long been a luminary to the underdog genre and its burgeoning global fan base, the prolific collaborator and globe-trotting advocate has done himself little discredit with the doors opened by his firm yet versatile take on the sound.
