Desirae Duncan’s Biography

I am a graduate of the University of Kentucky and currently, I am a multimedia journalist at WLOX in Biloxi, MS. I have 4 years of on-air experience; I was previously a multimedia journalist at WALB in Albany, GA.

I became interested in news when I stepped in front of a green sheet in a library storage room as the "weathergirl" at Bluegrass Middle School. I've dipped my feet in every facet of journalism including print, web and broadcast. I've developed a variety of skills through college and work experience that make me a flexible journalist with the ability to tell a story through a variety of mediums. Though I decided to stick to news rather than weather, I'm excited to tell the community's stories, one word at a time.
