SNX6-mediated subunit-specific secretory trafficking of AMPA receptors regulates synaptic function and plasticity - Communications Biology
Abstract The AMPA-type glutamate receptors (AMPARs) mediate the majority of fast excitatory synaptic transmission in the brain and are central to synaptic plasticity in excitatory neurons. Functional AMPARs are tetramers composed of different combinations of the channel-forming GluA1-GluA4 subunits, with GluA2 critically influencing receptor biophysics and trafficking.
A wearable device for continuous immunoassay-based monitoring of C-peptide in interstitial fluid
Abstract C-peptide is a critical biomarker for evaluating pancreatic β cell function and managing diabetes. However, conventional methods such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay are limited by lengthy processing times and the necessity for invasive sample collection. This study introduces a regenerable, portable, and wearable device for minimally invasive, real-time monitoring of C-peptide in dermal interstitial fluid (ISF).

Simultaneous generation of hydroxyl and hydrogen radicals from H+/OH− pairs caused by water-solid contact electrification
Simultaneous generation of hydroxyl and hydrogen radicals from H+/OH− pairs caused by water–solid contact electrification† Water–solid contact electrification is a common physical phenomenon involving interfacial electron and ion transfer, recently discovered to trigger unique redox reactions. Here, we demonstrate the generation of both hydroxyl and hydrogen radicals when water contacts SiO2.

A microfluidic ratiometric electrochemical aptasensor for highly sensitive and selective detection of 3,3′,4,4′-tetrachlorobiphenyl
A microfluidic ratiometric electrochemical aptasensor for highly sensitive and selective detection of 3,3′,4,4′-tetrachlorobiphenyl† This study proposes a strategy using a microfluidic ratiometric electrochemical aptasensor to detect PCB77 with excellent sensitivity and specificity.
Multiplexed discrimination of SARS-CoV-2 variants via plasmonic-enhanced fluorescence in a portable and automated device - Nature Biomedical Engineering
Abstract Portable assays for the rapid identification of lineages of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) are needed to aid large-scale efforts in monitoring the evolution of the virus. Here we report a multiplexed assay in a microarray format for the detection, via isothermal amplification and plasmonic-gold-enhanced near-infrared fluorescence, of variants of SARS-CoV-2.

Modeling of Flame Retardants in Typical Urban Indoor Environments in China during 2010-2030: Influence of Policy and Decoration and Implications for Human Exposure | Environmental Science & Technology
Novel flame retardants (FRs) are of increasing concern, given growing evidence of health effects and use to replace polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs). This study modeled combined effects of use policies and decoration on indoor FRs and human exposure for 18 widely used PBDEs, organophosphate esters (OPEs), and novel brominated flame retardants in typical urban indoor environments in China.

Black Phosphorus analogue Tin Sulfide Nanosheets: Synthesis and Application as Near-Infrared Photothermal Agents and Drug Delivery Platforms for Cancer Therapy
Two-dimensional (2D) inorganic nanomaterials for biomedical application still face the challenge of simultaneously offering a high photothermal conversion efficiency (PTCE), efficient drug delivery, biocompatibility and biodegradability. Herein, cancer treatment using a tin sulfide nanosheets (SnS NSs) based dual therapy nano-platform (SDTNP), including photothermal- and chemo-therapy, is demonstrated.
The InR/Akt/TORC1 Growth-Promoting Signaling Negatively Regulates JAK/STAT Activity and Migratory Cell Fate during Morphogenesis
Mutations in InR, Akt, or Tor Resulted in Increased STAT Activity TORC1 Interacts with SOCS36E and Inhibits Its Proteasomal Degradation Finally, we sought to determine whether TORC1 physically interacts with SOCS36E and how TORC1 exerts its protein stabilization effect on SOCS36E. To determine whether SOCS36E physically associates with TORC1, we performed a co-immunoprecipitation (coIP) experiment using lysates of Drosophila S2 cells co-transfected with the tagged transgenes.
Stir Bar Sorptive Extraction and Thermal Desorption - Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry for Determining Phosphorus Flame Retardants in Air Samples
Stir bar sorptive extraction and thermal desorption coupled to gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (SBSE–TD–GC/MS) was utilized to determine phosphorus flame retardants (PFRs) in air samples. The one variable at a time (OVAT) approach was used to select the optimal conditions of the parameters that affect the SBSE procedure during thermal desorption. Desorption was carried out at 300 °C at desorption flow rate of 76 mL/min for 10 minutes with the transfer line set at 320 °C.
