A long-running flooding problem in Henderson could ease soon, as a state road project nears completion. For years, flooding from the Minnesota River has closed roads and limited access in Henderson, a community southwest of the Twin Cities. Later this month, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is expected to wrap up a three-year project meant to create a long-term solution. The project focuses on Highway 93, near where Sarah Schuette runs Schuette’s Ice Cream Shoppe.
