Sunken Cities Rising In Texas And Near El Paso

The hot, dry conditions of the last few years have caused lake levels to drop across Texas and around El Paso. Now the past is rising from the depths in some places. The last few summers have been way hot and extra dry. No big news flash there, we're all painfully aware of this but, as scary as that is, it's had one interesting side effect. It's bringing back the past as sunken cities begin to re-arise. Entire towns have been flooded to create reservoirs and lakes around Texas and New Mexico.

Dubba G’s Favorite, Kinda, Memory Of Las Cruces Warped Tours

The Vans Warped Tour, (through the early - mid 2000's or so), used to came through the Borderland around this time of year and we were SOO there. The Q's presence at the Warped Tour on the NMSU campus started after Cruces had already hosted a few. First, we did remotes on site, then we did live updates throughout the day and, finally, I started doing my show live from there. Eventually, Scott Ronson did too - they were sooo much fun.

Epic Texas Failure – With A Happy Ending – Near El Paso

Thing's really are bigger in Texas, including the "F" - ups. A museum about 3 hours east of El Paso pays homage to one of Texas' most successful industries, atop one of its biggest failures. 250 miles from El Paso, near Monahans, stands a museum dedicated to the oil industry. Kinda. Not surprising for the area which has been oil rich for decades and pumps out crude like there's no tomorrow. What is surprising is that the museum celebrates success atop a massive failure.
