Association of nucleos(t)ide analogue treatment history with mortality in HBV-DNA-positive HBV-ACLF: a multicenter cohort study
Abstract Background and aims: Hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure (HBV-ACLF) is associated with high short- and long-term mortality. Prior nucleos(t)ide analogue (NA) treatment history, particularly treatment withdrawal and virological resistance, may contribute to ACLF development and influence prognosis after onset. However, the clinical impact of different NA treatment histories in patients with HBV-ACLF remains insufficiently characterized.
BCLX L blockade rewires cell fate to overcome PARP inhibitor resistance in ovarian cancer
|
Abstract Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors (PARPis) induce regressions and extend progression-free survival (PFS) in ovarian cancer, especially in tumors with BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutations that impair homologous recombination repair. While recent studies have clarified the key roles of BRCA1, BRCA2, and PARP1 in replication fork stability, the downstream mechanisms that mediate PARPi-induced cytotoxicity and resistance remain incompletely understood.

LMO1 enhances casein kinase 2 activity to promote MYCN expression in neuroblastoma
Abstract Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common extracranial solid tumor in children, accounting for ~ 15% of pediatric cancer-related mortality. Despite intensive multimodal therapy, high-risk NB survival remains below 50%. LIM-domain-only 1 (LMO1) has been identified as a key NB predisposition gene, with elevated expression strongly associated with advanced disease stage and metastasis. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying its oncogenic function remain incompletely defined.

Suspension parameter optimisation and staged yaw damper configuration adapted to wheel-rail contact geometry evolution
Abstract Wheel profile evolution due to tread wear shifts the suspension parameters required for favourable vehicle dynamic performance. Conventional fixed-parameter designs often compromise across diverse contact conditions, making it difficult to maintain robust performance throughout the wheel life cycle. This paper proposes a supervisory staged configuration method for yaw dampers based on wheel-rail contact geometry.
PGE2 combined with IL-6 promote non-tenogenic and inhibit tenogenic differentiation of tendon stem cell via the SMAD pathways
Abstract As vital healing cells, inappropriate differentiation of tendon stem cells (TSCs) in persistent inflammation wound cause injured tendons to difficult healing, eventually developing into tendinopathy. The key inflammation cytokines Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and Interleukin-(IL-)6 are increased in injured tendons and the SMAD signaling pathways play key role in regulating stem cell activity.

Rewiring energy flow in biohybrids for enhanced solar-driven biosynthesis
Abstract Semiconductor biohybrids offer a viable approach to harness solar energy for the biosynthesis of high-value energy-rich long-chain compounds (ERLCCs). However, solar-driven ERLCC biosynthesis routes are often hindered by the inefficient conversion of light energy into cytosolic cofactors. Here we present a design strategy to rewire energy flow in biohybrids, enabling efficient solar-to-ERLCC conversion.

How Particular RNA Editing Sites Can be Selectively Superior to Heterozygous SNPs Independent of Temporospatial Regulation
Abstract A-to-I RNA editing introduces A-to-G variation at post-transcriptional level, but it remains mysterious. What is the advantage of functional RNA editing compared to an A/G heterozygous SNP? Here, we provide the following situations that particular RNA editing sites can be superior to heterozygous SNPs even independent of its temporospatial regulation. (1) Assume a site with A/G heterozygote advantage.

On Mechanisms Controlling the Interannual Variability of the Summertime Bottom Low‐Oxygen Zones in the Southern Bohai Sea
1 Introduction Seasonal bottom Dissolved Oxygen (DO) depletion is a widespread phenomenon observed in both open oceans and coastal seas (Breitburg et al., 2018; Rabalais et al., 2010). A critical threshold of DO depletion for a functional aquatic ecosystem is hypoxia, which refers to a DO concentration of less than 63 mmol/m3 (Rabalais et al., 2010). Over recent decades, anthropogenic pressures on coastal regions have intensified, leading to an expansion in the extent and severity of hypoxia.
