A 1ª edição da Kings League Brasil chegou ao fim. Se o critério for visibilidade, viralização e buzz, foi um sucesso. Dentro de campo, o espetáculo também funcionou. Afinal, a proposta é clara: misturar esporte com entretenimento. Há quem diga que é mais show do que futebol. Mas é exatamente aí que mora a mágica do sportainment. Mais do que uma liga divertida, a Kings é um modelo de negócio que merece ser estudado.

Trinta anos se passaram desde a morte de Ayrton Senna, e ainda hoje sentimos falta de algo que vai muito além de títulos ou vitórias nas pistas. Sentimos falta de um símbolo. De uma referência. De alguém que nos mostrava, na prática, que talento, propósito e trabalho duro não eram coisas separadas, mas parte de uma mesma jornada. Vivemos hoje em um mundo onde a velocidade é diferente.

Abstract Defence from environmental threats is provided by physical barriers that confer mechanical protection and prevent the entry of microorganisms1. If microorganisms overcome those barriers, however, innate immune cells use toxic chemicals to kill the invading cells2,3. Here we examine immune diversity across tissues and identify a population of neutrophils in the skin that expresses a broad repertoire of proteins and enzymes needed to build the extracellular matrix.

No es una película más sobre la Segunda Guerra Mundial, creo que es una de las diez mejores películas bélicas sobre esta guerra.

Abstract Neutrophils display distinct gene expression patters depending on their developmental stage, activation state and tissue microenvironment. To determine the transcription factor networks that shape these responses in a mouse model, we integrated transcriptional and chromatin analyses of neutrophils during acute inflammation. We showed active chromatin remodeling at two transition stages: bone marrow–to-blood and blood-to-tissue.

Chema Rey Iván Ballesteros, sobrino del legendario Severiano Ballesteros y durante muchos años al frente de la fundación del genio de Pedreña, trabó una gran amistad con Michael Robinson, a quien dedica estas líneas. Me cuesta mucho creerlo y aceptarlo pero la vida es así... Quienes amamos el deporte, hoy 28 de abril, perdimos a un magnífico deportista y comunicador. Hoy perdimos a la voz del fútbol en España.

Resident macrophages are professional phagocytes that survey their surroundings; eliminate unfit cells, microorganisms, and metabolic waste; and produce a large range of bioactive molecules and growth factors.
Establishment of tissue-resident macrophage core and tissue specific programs during embryogenesis
Tissue resident macrophages develop during embryogenesis, are maintained independently of hematopoietic stem cells during adulthood, and display tissue-specific functions and phenotypes. To understand the genetic program that drives macrophage differentiation from distinct progenitors and their tissue-specific identity, we performed a systematic spatio-temporal analysis of macrophage development in mice.
