It's the first weekend of October, but it doesn't feel like it with a late-Summer feel to the air as the wind continues out of the south. Look for the muggy meter to be in the somewhat humid range into early next week. Conditions at the Tulsa State Fair will be about the same they've been all week with warm temps and not a drop of rain in the forecast. If you're doing a weekend getaway, the high pressure ridging on the weather highway keeps things warm and dry for the region.

Two rounds of severe weather are coming to Green Country over the next 24 to 36 hours. We'll see round 1 move in from Kansas as a thunderstorm complex enters our viewing area after 4 a.m. on Tuesday. Look for damaging wind, hail, and a few tornadoes into the morning hours tomorrow.

First Day of Fall brings cooler temps and rain to Green Country

The Autumnal Equinox is right around the corner, with the first day of Fall on Monday afternoon of next week. At 1:19 p.m. Central Standard Time, Earth's axis will be tilted neither toward nor away from the sun. We'll see an equal amount of daylight and darkness at all latitudes on September 22, 2025.
