LAUDERDALE CO., Ala. (WAFF) - An Oakland man pleaded guilty to Torture and Willful Abuse of a Child in Lauderdale County. In August 2022, Jason Randolph Ethridge was indicted by a Lauderdale County jury on the following charges: Rape - 1st Degree (four counts) Sexual Assault - 1st Degree (two counts) Jason Randolph Ethridge According to previous reports, an investigator stated that the assaults first began in 2006 and continued until 2018.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - The man who was on trial for murder was convicted after multiple days in a Madison County courtroom. Renardo May was arrested in 2024 for the shooting death of 40-year-old Jonathan Parcus. The shooting happened on July 2, 2024, on Swancott Road at a place where Parcus was living. Parcus died from his injuries on July 18. During the trial, a witness said he was there with Parcus and May for a dice game.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - The man who was on trial for murder was convicted after multiple days in a Madison County courtroom. Renardo May was arrested in 2024 for the shooting death of 40-year-old Jonathan Parcus. The shooting happened on July 2, 2024, on Swancott Road. Parcus died from his injuries on July 18. A month following the shooting, May was found and arrested in Michigan. On Wednesday, May was found guilty on two counts of Intentional Murder. He will be sentenced in August 2026.
