HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Little change in intensity is expected during the next day or so as Tropical Storm Lala continues westward away from Hawaii. Rain will continue to taper off across the island chain Sunday night into Monday morning, but localized areas of flooding and mudslides remain possible. Forecasters urge caution in the wake of Lala, as dangerous hazards remain, including flooded areas and downed power lines.
Tropical Storm Lala weakens as it travels away from Hawaii
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Hurricane Center has officially discontinued the Tropical Storm Warning for Kauai County as a weakening Tropical Storm Lala continues to track westward, moving further away from the main Hawaiian Islands. While all coastal storm watches and warnings for the state have been lifted, additional rainfall is expected along parts of the island chain with heavy runoff, high surf, and localized flooding a concern through Monday.
