Quality, source transparency, information reliability, and domain coverage of short video-based information on feeding guidance for people with dysphagia: a cross-sectional study on 4 major Chinese social media platforms
Abstract Background: Standardized feeding guidance is valuable for people with dysphagia, helping prevent aspiration, improve nutritional status, and enhance quality of life. In recent years, short-video platforms have become a key avenue for the public to access health information, providing people with dysphagia with a convenient channel to learn about feeding management.
Freezing-induced solid-liquid microphase separation for self-assembly of functional nucleic acid nanoparticles
Abstract In nature, nuclear DNA complexed with histone form highly condensed chromatin via loop extrusion and microphase separation, yielding physically constrained solid-like structures. Inspired by this natural compaction, here we demonstrate that freezing-induced crystallization pressure and freeze-concentration effects trigger solid-liquid microphase separation for efficient DNA compression.
Fraud learns too: continual graph learning under strategic adversarial drift in dynamic networks
Abstract Financial transaction networks face a persistent threat from strategic adversarial drift, in which sophisticated actors manipulate graph structure to bypass detection. Conventional temporal graph neural networks tend to fail in this setting because they forget historical patterns when retrained and generalise poorly to novel structural perturbations.
Discordant muscle-adipose phenotypes and insulin resistance in prediabetes: sex-specific associations and predictive utility of TyG-WHtR combined with HDL-C
|
Abstract Objective: We aimed to explore the interplay between muscle-adipose composite phenotypes and insulin resistance (IR) among individuals with prediabetes(Pre-DM), and to evaluate the discriminative capacity and sex-specific variations of the triglyceride-glucose-waist-to-height ratio (TyG-WHtR) when combined with high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).

Risk Factors and Adverse Perinatal Outcomes in Severe Preeclampsia Complicated by HELLP Syndrome
1 Introduction HELLP syndrome is a severe complication of severe preeclampsia, characterized by hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelet counts. It can pose life-threatening risks to both mothers and their newborns [1]. The incidence of HELLP syndrome ranges from 0.5% to 0.9% in healthy pregnancies, but rises to 2%–12% among patients with preeclampsia [2].
Escalating transmissibility of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome in a high-endemic region of China
Abstract Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is an emerging public health concern with increasing incidence and geographic spread. Quantitative assessment of its cross-species transmission among humans, ticks, and animal hosts remains limited. Here, we develop and apply a multi-population, multi-route dynamic model using data from 3,883 reported cases in Anhui Province, China, from 2019 to 2023 to quantify transmissibility and characterize spatiotemporal patterns.

Facial Skin Mycobiome in Atopic Dermatitis With and Without Facial Involvement and Healthy Controls: A Case-Control Study
1 Introduction The pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis (AD) is multifactorial, involving genetic predisposition, immune dysregulation, impaired skin barrier function, and alterations in the skin microbiome. Disruption of the skin barrier, along with type 2-driven inflammation, can lead to skin microbial dysbiosis, which may further exacerbate barrier damage and immune activation [1].

Impact of Different Employee-AI Interaction: Instrumental vs. Emotional Support and Gender Differences
Abstract Previous studies have shown that employee–AI interactions increase job insecurity and negative behaviors, mainly due to AI’s focus on task assistance while neglecting its role in emotional support. We categorize employee–AI interactions into two types: using AI for emotional support and using AI for instrumental support. We further differentiate their impact on job insecurity and knowledge hiding.

Driven by national policies that promote the digital economy and the demand for high-quality economic development, AI technology and industry have maintained rapid advancement.
B‐cell depletion limits HTLV‐1‐infected T‐cell expansion and ameliorate HTLV‐1‐associated myelopathy
Introduction The current understanding acknowledges that B cell responses are influenced by the surrounding immune microenvironment, and various factors can trigger different functions of B cells, encompassing both antibody-dependent and antibody-independent patterns.1 For instance, in multiple sclerosis, B cells are thought to exert antibody-independent functions primarily in the peripheral blood, particularly the capacity of activated B cells to aberrantly induce pro-inflammatory T cell...

Explanatory Machine Learning Accelerates the Design of Graphene-Reinforced Aluminium Matrix Composites with Superior Performance
3.3. Interpretable Machine Learning and Validation The ML model is also known as a “black box”, which means that the inner workings of the system are not visible, and the user can simply input data and receive the output, but cannot examine the logic that produces the result. Therefore, explaining machine learning as a black box model is essential for the development of new materials.

A Paramagnetic Compass Based on Lanthanide Metal‐Organic Framework
Macroscopic compass-like magnetic alignment at low magnetic fields is natural for ferromagnetic materials but is seldomly observed in paramagnetic materials. Herein, we report a “paramagnetic compass” that magnetically aligns under ∼mT fields based on the single-crystalline framework constructed by lanthanide ions and organic ligands (Ln-MOF).
Climatic seasonality challenges the stability of microbial‐driven deep soil carbon accumulation across China
RESEARCH ARTICLE Shuhai Wen and Jiaying Chen contributed equally to this work. Abstract Microbial residues contribute to the long-term stabilization of carbon in the entire soil profile, helping to regulate the climate of the planet; however, how sensitive these residues are to climatic seasonality remains virtually unknown, especially for deep soils across environmental gradients.

Video Anomaly Detection Based on Attention Mechanism
Abstract : Camera surveillance is widely used in residential areas, highways, schools and other public places. The monitoring and scanning of sudden abnormal events depend on humans. Human anomaly monitoring not only consumes a lot of manpower and time but also has a large error in anomaly detection. Video anomaly detection based on AE (Auto-Encoder) is currently the dominant research approach. The model has a highly symmetrical network structure in the encoding and decoding stages.

Photocatalytic C-N coupling toward urea synthesis with Palladium-Supported CeO2 Catalyst Shuyi Yang, Jiayi Deng, Jiaying Chen, Qingmei Tan, Tianren Liu, Ke Chen, Dongxue Han, Yingming Ma, Mengjiao Dai and Li Niu Abstract The conversion of N2 and CO2 into urea through photocatalytic C–N coupling reaction under ambient condition serves as a novel green avenue for urea synthesis. However, the poor adsorption and C-N coupling capability of inert gas molecules hinder the efficient catalytic activity.

Coffee Consumption and Risk of Atrial Fibrillation in the Physicians’ Health Study
Clinical Perspective What Is New? In this prospective long‐term cohort study, we found a lower risk of atrial fibrillation among men drinking 1 to 3 cups of coffee per day in the Physicians’ Health Study (N=18 960, mean follow‐up 9 years). However, we did not find any significant association between caffeine intake and atrial fibrillation risk in Physicians’ Health Study participants. What Are the Clinical Implications?
