High Energy Physics - Phenomenology
In this article, we employ the QCD sum rules basing on three-point correlation function to systematically analyze the transition form factors for the semileptonic decays of the spin \(\frac{3}{2}^{+}\) bottom baryons (\(Ω_{b}^{*}\), \(Σ_{b}^{*}\), and \(Ξ_{b}^{\prime *}\)) to their corresponding spin \(\frac{1}{2}^{+}\) charmed partners.

Icariside I inhibits KSHV lytic replication via targeting cellular PPAT
Abstract Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) causes malignancies, including Kaposi’s sarcoma and primary effusion lymphoma, but effective therapies are lacking. High-throughput screening of natural compounds identified icariside I (ICSI), a flavonoid from Epimedii Folium, as a potent inhibitor of KSHV lytic replication in both epithelial and endothelial cells. Mechanistically, ICSI directly targets host amidophosphoribosyltransferase (PPAT), a key enzyme in de novo purine synthesis.
PFKM acts as a metabolic switch initiating donut-shaped mitochondrial remodeling to promote osteogenesis
Abstract Osteogenic differentiation requires sophisticated mitochondrial adaptation to meet bioenergetic demands, yet regulatory checkpoints governing this organelle reorganization remain poorly defined. Through single-cell RNA sequencing reanalysis and metabolic intervention, this study unveils a non-canonical signaling role for PFKM, traditionally recognized solely as a glycolytic enzyme, in orchestrating mitochondrial remodeling during bone formation.

Computer Science > Robotics
Vision-Language-Action models excel at robotic manipulation, driven by the scale and diversity of demonstration data. However, standard training paradigms often cause VLA models to severely overfit to specific behavioral patterns, rendering them unable to generalize to out-of-distribution scenarios even when those scenarios merely require novel combinations of identical sub-skills.
Ultrasonic guided-wave damage detection based on CEEMD and improved energy spectrum entropy: application to cortical bone
Pathological fractures, especially those classified as incomplete fractures, are a significant global health issue. Ultrasonic guided wave (UGW) technology is increasingly recognised for its pivotal role in the early detection and diagnosis of fracture injuries. This paper proposes a novel method for UGW-based damage detection in cortical bone, leveraging both the complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition (CEEMD) and an improved energy spectrum entropy (IESE).
The impact of mental fatigue on drop landing injury risk and lower limb asymmetry in elite collegiate american football players
Abstract This study investigated the impact of mental fatigue on lower limb biomechanics and bilateral asymmetry during drop landings in elite collegiate American football players to assess injury risk implications. Twelve elite male players performed bilateral drop landings before and after a 45-minute Stroop task. Data were analyzed using a 2 × 2 repeated-measures ANOVA.
Succession patterns of foliar endophytic fungal communities during different leaf growth stages in Lycium barbarum
Abstract Lycium barbarum (Goji) is an important traditional Chinese medicinal plant widely distributed across Northwest China. Its young leaves are usually developed into tea or vegetables. Foliar endophytic fungi respond to leaves development, growth and health. Herein, high-throughput amplicon sequencing was used to assess dynamic changes in foliar endophytic fungal communities in young, mature, and old L. barbarum leaves.
Small heat shock and J-domain proteins direct defense against areca palm velarivirus 1 by degrading coat protein via autophagy
Abstract Both autophagy and heat shock proteins (HSPs) play dual roles in viral infections, yet their coordination in antiviral defense remains unclear. Here, we show that a cytosolic small heat shock protein (AcsHSP) and a type II J-domain protein (AcDNAJB13) from areca palm interact with the coat protein (CP) of areca palm velarivirus 1 (APV1) independently of HSP70 chaperones. Their closest Nicotiana benthamiana homologs also bind CP.
Elevated serum cystatin C predicts tophus formation in gout: evidence from a cross-sectional study
Abstract Objective: To investigate the association between serum cystatin C (CysC) levels and tophus presence, and to assess its diagnostic value for structural joint damage in gout. Methods: In this cross-sectional study of 598 gout patients, we examined the association between serum CysC and both the presence and burden of tophi. The predictive value of CysC for tophus and bone erosion was further evaluated using logistic regression and ROC curve analyses.
A unified deep learning framework for cross-platform harmonization of multi-tracer PET quantification in neurodegenerative disease
Abstract Quantitative PET underpins diagnosis and treatment monitoring in neurodegenerative disease, yet systematic biases between PET-MRI and PET-CT preclude threshold transfer and cross-site comparability. We developed and validated the first unified, anatomically guided deep-learning framework to harmonize PET-MRI quantification to PET-CT standards across multiple tracers and scanner manufacturers.
TaCNGC-2A suppresses seed dormancy and activates pre-harvest sprouting through modulating calcium and hormonal signaling pathways
Abstract Weak seed dormancy (SD) is prone to pre-harvest sprouting (PHS), which reduces cereal yield and quality. Here, through map-based analysis, we identify TaCNGC-2A, encoding a cyclic nucleotide-gated channel protein, as a negative regulator of wheat SD. Knocking out of TaCNGC-2A enhances SD and PHS resistance, with no yield penalty. Two transcription factors, TaMYB-5B and TaMYB-5D, directly bind to the T/A mutation site of TaCNGC-2A promoter to synergistically repress its expression.

Compton Backscattering Imaging for Wall Defect Detection: A Geant4 Simulation Study
Abstract Monitoring defects such as voids and foreign inclusions in building walls is critical for ensuring structural safety. Conventional methods like infrared thermography suffer from environmental interference, impact-echo techniques lack precise localization, and ultrasonic testing offers limited visualization. To address these limitations, we design a wall defect detection system based on Compton backscattering imaging and conduct simulation studies using Geant4.

China signals policy stability amid hopes of trade resolution
China’s unyielding stance in April when the US tariffs were initially announced has paid dividends with the tension gradually being dialed down since. Moreover, China clearly has leverage in the negotiations which the EU and Japan appear to lack despite their traditional status as US allies. Chinese and US officials agreed on 29 July to seek an extension of their 90-day tariff truce with growing optimism over a longer term agreement.
Clinical Practice Consensus Statement 2025: Management of Hyperuricemia and Gout in Adolescents
1 Introduction In recent years, the prevalence of gout has increased globally, although documented cases among adolescents and young adults remain rare [1, 2]. A decade-long retrospective study has highlighted a trend towards earlier onset of gout in China [3]. Hyperuricemia is not only an important precursor in the development of gout, but also its most significant risk factor [4].

Looking beyond China’s ‘Two Sessions'
The next item on the agenda for China investors is the National People’s Congress starting 5 March 2025, known as the ‘Two Sessions’, which we think will meet consensus expectations and announce a relatively ambitious 5% GDP growth target for the second year running. For the first time in recent history, the NPC has become less of a focal point, as the key policy shifts were already outlined during the December 2024 Central Economic Work Conference meeting.
Dynamic Event-Triggered Sliding Mode Control of Markov Jump Delayed System with Partially Known Transition Probabilities
1. Introduction SMC is a robust control method. It exhibits remarkable robustness against parameter uncertainties and external disturbances, a feature that is highly congruent with the demands of MJDSs. In MJDSs, system parameters fluctuate with state transitions, and time delays introduce additional uncertainties. SMC copes with these issues by crafting a suitable sliding mode surface.
