Impact of city-county mergers on land transfer dynamics: Evidence from China
ABSTRACT Urban governance and policy analysis are essential for sustainable development. This study investigates the impact of city-county mergers (CCM) on local land transfer dynamics in China. Using a difference-in-differences model and data from 2007 to 2020, our findings show that these mergers significantly increase the total land transfer area by approximately 4.5% and transfer revenue by about 2.5%.

We present exact analytical solutions to the nonlinear relativistic Boltzmann equation for homogeneous, isotropic massless multi-component systems with non-isotropic scattering cross sections. For a two-component system, we identify three distinct classes of exact solutions, each corresponding to specific constraints among initial energy densities, particle number densities, and scattering cross sections.

Digital economy, spatial correlation and urban economic resilience
Abstract This study explores how spatial network structures shape urban economic resilience, emphasizing the role of digital economic interconnections. It expands the literature on digital economy spillovers and contributes to the theoretical understanding of resilience in urban systems. Practically, the study identifies collaborative advantages in core cities and structural vulnerabilities in peripheral ones, informing the design of regional digital cooperation networks.
Furmonertinib combined with bevacizumab in EGFR-TKI-resistant leptomeningeal metastasis: analysis of the CSF ctDNA molecular response and survival outcomes
Abstract Leptomeningeal metastasis (LM) after the development of third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) resistance is indicative of a poor prognosis in EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and no standardised treatments are currently available.
A diagnostic model based on pulmonary microbiota and host gene expression to distinguish colonization from pneumonia
Abstract Pneumonia remains a leading cause of global mortality. Conventional diagnostic approaches frequently fail to distinguish microbial colonization from true infection in the lower respiratory tract, complicating clinical decision-making and contributing to antibiotic overuse. Improved diagnostic strategies are urgently needed.
Anodic protection enables moisture-stable Mg 3 (Sb, Bi) 2 for thermoelectric cooling
|
Abstract Mg3(Sb, Bi)2 is the most promising candidate as a next-generation thermoelectric cooling material; however, its application is bottlenecked by poor moisture stability.

Switching the Channel Screening Effect of Metal–Organic Frameworks to Control the Selectivity of Furfural Hydrogenation
1 Introduction Metal-catalyzed hydrogenation reactions have attracted the attention of researchers due to their importance in the conversion of chemicals and biomass [1-6]. Many supported metals catalyze the hydrogenation of compounds such as aldehydes and ketones [7-11], but when more than one functional group is present in the reactant (such as in furfural compounds with C═C and C═O bonds), most hydrogenation catalysts are nonselective.

Mediating effect of social frailty on oral frailty and cognitive function in older adults: a cross-sectional study in a rural Chinese community
Abstract Background: Cognitive function has been associated with both social and oral frailty. However, few studies have explored how social frailty and oral frailty jointly relate to cognitive function. This study aimed to explore whether social frailty plays a mediating role in the association between oral frailty and cognitive function and to examine potential gender differences in this pathway.
Doublet microtubule-associated tektins and enzymes differentially regulate sperm flagellar integrity and motility - Nature Communications
Abstract Doublet microtubule (DMT)-associated proteins assemble and drive sperm flagella, which are essential for successful fertilization. However, the exact roles of different DMT-associated proteins in sperm function and the underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive. Here, we generate four gene-knockout mice based on high-resolution structures targeting distinct DMT components: two intermediate filament-like tektins (TEKT1, TEKT5) and two enzymes (TSSK6, DUSP21).

Can Rural E-commerce Development Mitigate Labour Outflow?-An Example of the Comprehensive Demonstration Policy for E-commerce in Rural Areas of China
ABSTRACT This paper examines the impact and mechanisms of the Comprehensive Demonstration Policy for E-commerce in Rural Areas of China on rural labour mobility using the difference-in-difference method. The research finds that the policy significantly reduces rural labour outflow, with government fiscal support for rural e-commerce development, rural entrepreneurship and employment, and increased farmer incomes serving as its primary mechanisms of action.

High-resolution Fourier lens utilizing transformation materials
A large-bandwidth, high-resolution Fourier transform lens is proposed based on transformation optics, where the conformal space mapping is approximately obtained by adjusting the in-plane principal stretches to be equivalent step by step. The output surface of a Luneburg lens is deformed into a planar configuration through this transformation, while maintaining its relaxed dependence on paraxial approximations for optical Fourier transform.

Generalized nonlinear Langevin equation from quantum nonlinear projection operator
We systematically derive the quantum generalized nonlinear Langevin equation using Morozov’s projection operator method. This approach extends the linear Mori-Zwanzig projection operator technique, allowing for the inclusion of nonlinear interactions among macroscopic modes. Additionally, we obtain the quantum generalized Fokker-Planck equation within the Heisenberg picture, which is consistent with Morozov’s original formulation.

Reversible control of kinase signaling through chemical-induced dephosphorylation
Abstract The coordination between kinases and phosphatases is crucial for regulating the phosphorylation levels of essential signaling molecules. Methods enabling precise control of kinase activities are valuable for understanding the kinase functions and for developing targeted therapies. Here, we use the abscisic acid (ABA)-induced proximity system to reversibly control kinase signaling by recruiting phosphatases.

Longitudinal validation of cognitive reserve proxy measures: a cohort study in a rural Chinese community - Alzheimer's Research & Therapy
This is a cohort from the Guizhou rural older adults’ health study (HSRO) in China. The HSRO is a population-based prospective study conducted in Guizhou, China. The data were obtained using multistage cluster sampling; 12 villages were selected, and the baseline survey was conducted from July to August 2019. Participants were eligible if they were 60-year-old community volunteers who had lived in the area for at least 6 months. The study employed a two-wave (T0-T1) longitudinal survey design.
