Empagliflozin attenuates traumatic brain injury-induced atherosclerosis and norepinephrine-induced vascular smooth muscle cell responses
Abstract Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is associated with increased long-term cardiovascular risk, but strategies to limit post-traumatic vascular disease are lacking. We tested whether empagliflozin, a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor, attenuates TBI-induced atherosclerosis in apolipoprotein E-deficient mice. Mice on a Western diet underwent controlled cortical impact or sham surgery and received empagliflozin or vehicle for 10 weeks.

Shielded planning with acoustic link awareness enables USV and AUV cooperation
Abstract Cooperative unmanned surface vehicle (USV) and autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) teams require planners that coordinate relay motion, underwater task execution, collision avoidance, and lossy acoustic communication. We present HACo-Safe, a domain-specific planning framework that integrates a planning-level acoustic-link surrogate, an interpretable warm-start controller, explicit action shielding, and a graph-attention multi-agent proximal policy optimization (MAPPO) distillation stage.

A fungal nuclease effector subverts the chloroplast genome and triggers cell death to promote infection
Abstract The hemibiotrophic fungus Magnaporthe oryzae causes rice blast, a devastating plant disease, by transitioning from biotrophic to necrotrophic growth, which triggers host cell death. This trophic shift is essential for nutrient acquisition and disease progression, culminating in conidiation. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying this transition are not well understood.
Progress in Synthesis of CO 2 -Based Polycarbonate Diols and Their Application in Preparation of Different Types of Polyurethane
2.2.2.1 Metal Zinc Carboxylate Catalysis Despite considerable advancements in homogeneous catalysis, the high preparation costs, coupled with challenges in catalyst recovery and reuse, have posed significant barriers to their industrial application. Consequently, cost-effective and readily preparable heterogeneous catalysts have been commercially developed for the copolymerization of epoxides and CO2.
Bioactivity‐guided discovery of two novel hybrid polyketides with antifungal activity against phytopathogens
1 INTRODUCTION Phytopathogenic fungi (PF) represent a major threat to global agricultural productivity and food security, responsible for substantial preharvest and postharvest crop losses.1-3 Chemical synthetic fungicides have served as the cornerstone of fungal disease management for decades,4, 5 yet their intensive and often indiscriminate use has precipitated multiple challenges: the rapid evolution of resistant fungal strains, environmental contamination, and potential health hazards.6-8...

MD-Former: Multiscale Dual Branch Transformer for Multivariate Time Series Classification
1. Introduction Time series data, characterized by sequential recording and high temporal correlations, are categorized into univariate time series (UTS) and multivariate time series (MTS). MTS are particularly well suited for modeling complex real-world phenomena involving multiple variables, such as ship trajectories, represented in speed, direction, longitude, and latitude. Multivariate time series classification (MTSC) aims to identify patterns in multivariate time series data.
