Successful Live Birth Following Micro-Stimulation IVF in a Patient With Recurrent Serous Borderline Ovarian Tumor: A Case Report
1 Introduction Serous borderline ovarian tumors (SBOTs) are a subtype of epithelial ovarian borderline tumors (BOT). BOTs account for approximately 10%–20% of all epithelial ovarian tumors [1]. Among BOTs, serous borderline tumors (SBOTs) represent about 50%–55% [2]. They are characterized by atypical epithelial proliferation with nuclear atypia, mitotic activity, but without destructive stromal invasion [3].
Cryogenic energy storage enabled by dipole glass with unit-cell-level polar disorder
Abstract Cryogenic energy storage is crucial for the development of frontier nanoelectronics, including deep-space exploration (down to 90 K) and quantum computing (≤4 K). However, conventional electrochemical energy storage systems (such as secondary batteries and electrochemical capacitors) underperform at temperatures below ∼230 K due to restricted ion mobility.
Navigating the pitfalls of two-dimensional ferroelectricity
The emergence of two-dimensional ferroelectrics has challenged established theories of ferroelectricity and offered routes to novel devices. However, distinguishing ferroelectric behaviour from artefacts remains an experimental challenge.

Clemastine alleviates Parkinson’s disease pathology by activating the AMPK/mTOR pathway and enhancing autophagic flux
Abstract Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a debilitating neurodegenerative disorder with no available cure, underscoring the urgent need for novel therapeutics. This study employed the comprehensive bioinformatic analyses and the experimental models to investigate the potential of clemastine (CLE) for PD treatment. Bioinformatics identified 12 distinct cell subtypes and 577 differentially expressed genes in dopaminergic neurons (DaNs), along with 167 potential PD-relevant CLE targets.

The genetic spectrum of LRRK2 variants in Parkinson’s disease: findings from a large Chinese cohort
|
Abstract The pathogenicity of variants of uncertain significance in the LRRK2 gene remains underexplored. Investigating the LRRK2 variant spectrum in a large Chinese population cohort can provide deeper insights into its pathogenic mechanisms. This study examined the LRRK2 gene variants in 20,519 Chinese individuals, including 7,562 Parkinson’s disease (PD) patients, 3,077 Essential tremor (ET) patients, and 9880 healthy controls.

Effects of Part D Senior Savings Model on racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare costs
Abstract Objective The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services tested the Part D Senior Savings Model (“PDSS Model”) in 2021, capping monthly out-of-pocket (OOP) insulin costs at $35. Diabetes disproportionately affects racial/ethnic minorities compared to their non-Hispanic White (White) counterparts, so this study compared the changes in racial/ethnic disparities in healthcare costs among insulin users between Medicare and non-Medicare populations in 2021.

The clinical and genetic spectrum of mitochondrial diseases in China: A multicenter retrospective cross‐sectional study
1 INTRODUCTION Mitochondria are semi-autonomous organelles present in virtually all cells, crucial for energy production via adenosine triphosphate (ATP) synthesis through the mitochondrial respiratory chain in the inner membrane.1 Each mitochondrion contains circular, double-stranded mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) with 16 569 base pairs (bp) and 37 genes,2 while most mitochondrial proteins are encoded by nuclear DNA (nDNA).3 Defects in mtDNA or nDNA disrupt cellular energy metabolism disorders,...

Estimating the Observation Area of a Stripmap SAR via an ISAR Image Sequence
1. Introduction A spaceborne SAR is an important space payload equipped with microwave sensors for Earth observation and that has the advantages of wide observation coverage and the ability to operate under all-day and all-weather conditions. Therefore, it is widely used in strategic target surveillance, mapping, environmental monitoring, disaster monitoring, and resource explorations [1].

Early on-treatment plasma interleukin-18 as a promising indicator for long-term virological response in patients with HIV-1 infection
1. Introduction Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection continues to be a major global public health issue, having resulted in 40.1 million deaths to date; in 2021, 650,000 people died from HIV-related causes, and 1.5 million people acquired HIV. Maintaining viral suppression through effective antiretroviral therapy (ART) is critical for reducing morbidity and mortality in this population.
Evaluation of Carbon Emission and Carbon Contribution Capacity Based on the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Region of China
Abstract : In 2020, during the 75th United Nations General Assembly, China proposed the goal of “achieving a carbon peak by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060”. The Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region is the largest carbon emission metropolitan area in China. Its energy consumption and carbon emission status means the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region shoulders the important task of low-carbon transformation.

Continuously tunable ferroelectric domain width down to the single-atomic limit in bismuth tellurite - Nature Communications
Abstract Emerging functionalities in two-dimensional materials, such as ferromagnetism, superconductivity and ferroelectricity, open new avenues for promising nanoelectronic applications. Here, we report the discovery of intrinsic in-plane room-temperature ferroelectricity in two-dimensional Bi2TeO5 grown by chemical vapor deposition, where spontaneous polarization originates from Bi column displacements.
Assessing Causal Relationship Between Human Blood Metabolites and Five Neurodegenerative Diseases With GWAS Summary Statistics
Background Neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs; Blennow et al., 2010; Parnetti, 2011), such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), and multiple sclerosis (MS), are a prominent group of progressive and fatal neurological diseases currently without an effective cure, representing one of the fastest and largest increasing categories of the global disease burden especially because of aging populations (Roth et al.,...
Enhanced oxygen evolution reaction of defective CoP/MOF-integrated electrocatalyst by partial phosphating
Enhanced oxygen evolution reaction of defective CoP/MOF-integrated electrocatalyst by partial phosphating Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been regarded as a versatile material in application of energy fields. During the improvement of reactive activity, the structural collapse will stop the key advantage of framework and hinder the exposure of reactive centers.
Continuously controllable photoconductance in freestanding BiFeO3 by the macroscopic flexoelectric effect
Abstract Flexoelectricity induced by the strain gradient is attracting much attention due to its potential applications in electronic devices. Here, by combining a tunable flexoelectric effect and the ferroelectric photovoltaic effect, we demonstrate the continuous tunability of photoconductance in BiFeO3 films. The BiFeO3 film epitaxially grown on SrTiO3 is transferred to a flexible substrate by dissolving a sacrificing layer.
Van der Waals negative capacitance transistors
Abstract The Boltzmann distribution of electrons sets a fundamental barrier to lowering energy consumption in metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs). Negative capacitance FET (NC-FET), as an emerging FET architecture, is promising to overcome this thermionic limit and build ultra-low-power consuming electronics. Here, we demonstrate steep-slope NC-FETs based on two-dimensional molybdenum disulfide and CuInP2S6 (CIPS) van der Waals (vdW) heterostructure.
