Semantic Organization and Cross-Domain Analogical Reasoning: The Roles of Thematic-Taxonomic Differences and Semantic Cognitive Flexibility
ABSTRACT Cross-domain analogical reasoning, the capacity to map relational structures across semantically distant domains, is widely recognized as a hallmark of creative cognition. We investigated whether individual differences in thematic versus taxonomic semantic memory organization, particularly a stronger thematic bias, were associated with better cross-domain analogical reasoning performance.

A coupled model of chloride transport and high-temperature damage for high-strength self-compacting lightweight aggregate concrete
This study developed a novel coupled model of chloride transport and high-temperature damage of concrete. High-temperature exposure tests (20-600 °C) and subsequent chloride penetration tests for high-strength self-compacting concrete (HSSC) using two types of LWAs with various replacement ratios were conducted to reveal the coupling effect of thermal damage and chloride attack.

Apatinib inhibits synovial sarcoma progression and angiogenesis via VEGFR2-mediated AKT/FOXO3A and ERK1/2/FOXM1 signaling pathways
Abstract Synovial sarcoma (SS) is a highly aggressive soft-tissue malignancy with limited therapeutic options for advanced disease. Here, we report that apatinib, a selective VEGFR2 tyrosine kinase inhibitor, exerts potent antitumor and anti-angiogenic activity in SS. In SS cell lines, apatinib reduced cell viability, induced G1 phase arrest, and triggered both apoptosis and autophagy.

Functional diversification of WRINKLED3 integrates fatty acid metabolism with insecticidal acylsugar production in Solanaceae species
Abstract Acylsugars are defensive glycolipids in Solanaceae glandular trichomes, and their biosynthesis offers an exemplary system for understanding the evolutionary mechanisms of plant chemical defense, yet their transcriptional regulation is poorly understood. Here, we identified and characterized WRINKLED3 (WRI3), which is critical for acylsugar biosynthesis in tomato. SlWRI3 is specifically expressed in trichome tip cells, and its knockout reduces acylsugar accumulation.

Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Slow and insufficient sealing is a major problem for natural hydrogels to control incompressible hemorrhage. In this study, a natural macromer with both acrylamido and catechol groups was first designed and synthesized as a hydrogel adhesive precursor, and then the hydrogel was fabricated by photopolymerization.
Product Ligand‐Modification on Ni(OH)2 for Boosted Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Aromatic Alcohols
1 Introduction The electrocatalytic conversion of biomass into value-added chemicals represents a highly promising pathway toward sustainable manufacturing, offering alternatives to petroleum-based products [1-7]. Within this field, the selective oxidation of biomass-derived aromatic alcohols to their corresponding acids is an industrially pivotal transformation for synthesizing key intermediates in fine chemicals and active pharmaceutical ingredients [8-10].
Multifractal analysis of vegetation regulation on ecohydrological processes in a small watershed
Small watershed runoff is closely related to the regional water cycle and plays an important role in maintaining regional ecological functions (Geng et al., 2010). In small watersheds, mountainous terrain blocks large-scale meteorological disturbances. Vegetation regulates the local redistribution of water and heat through interception, water storage, and transpiration, forming a unique small watershed climate, which significantly affects runoff formation.

HY5 integrates light and electrical signaling to trigger a jasmonate burst for nematode defense in tomato - Nature Communications
Abstract Plants have evolved sophisticated defense systems to protect against herbivory, including the systemic induction of jasmonic acid (JA) synthesis. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying this process remain poorly understood. Here, we report that root-knot nematode (RKN) attack induced a phyB-dependent accumulation of ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5 (HY5) in the leaves, which activates the expression of JA biosynthesis genes and HY5 itself in tomato.

Targeting DKK3 to remodel tumor immune microenvironment and enhance cancer immunotherapy - BMC Cancer
Gene expression profiles along with paired clinical information from patients with various cancer types, including both tumor and the adjacent normal tissues, were retrieved from the website (portal.gdc.cancer.gov) of The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). DKK3 expression levels were divided into high and low (half-cut) groups, and overall survival was analyzed accordingly. Data handling and analysis were performed mainly using the R (version 4.1.1) alongside GraphPad Prism 7 for graphical visualization.

$sl(2,\mathbb{C})\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}D$ symmetry and conformal primary basis for massless fields
Alternative to the embedding formalism, we provide a group theoretic approach to the conformal primary basis for the massless field with arbitrary helicity. To this end, we first point out that sl(2,C) isometry gets enhanced to sl(2,C)×D symmetry for the solution space of the massless field with D the bulk dilatation.

The MYC2-PUB22-JAZ4 module plays a crucial role in jasmonate signaling in tomato
Abstract Jasmonates (JAs), a class of lipid-derived stress hormones, play a crucial role across an array of plant physiological processes and stress responses. Although JA signaling is thought to rely predominantly on the degradation of specific JAZ proteins by SCFCOI1, it remains unclear whether other pathways are involved in the regulation of JAZ protein stability.
