Portage's Joy Fong Restaurant to close in July after 46 years in business

A Portage favorite is closing after nearly five decades in business. Joy Fong Restaurant, founded in 1980 by Man Yuk Leung, will close July 15 as current owners Ted and Nancy Leung begin retirement, Ted Leung announced Monday on Facebook. According to Ted Leung, his father opened the restaurant, setting his family on the path toward the American dream. "As immigrants, we got by with hard work and tenacity," he said. "Joy Fong was more than a restaurant to us.

The team announced its 2026 Training Camp fan schedule on Tuesday as the team celebrates 20 years of hosting the camp at Allen Park's Meijer Performance Center. According to the Lions, Training Camp begins with a Back Together Weekend on August 2.
