TITE-LOCRM12: A Local Continual Reassessment Method for Drug Combination Optimization Based on Late-Onset Toxicity and Efficacy Outcomes
1 Introduction The primary goal of Phase I oncology clinical trials has traditionally been to identify the maximum tolerated dose (MTD), defined as the dose with a dose-limiting toxicity (DLT) probability closest to a pre-specified target rate. This paradigm was well-suited for cytotoxic chemotherapies, under the assumption that both toxicity and efficacy increase monotonically with dose.
Clinical Outcomes of Sequential Long-Pulsed 1060-nm and 805-nm Laser Treatment for Mid- and Lower-Face Aging: A Single-Arm Prospective Study
1 Introduction Facial aging is driven by both intrinsic aging and extrinsic environmental damage [1]. Its clinical manifestations are not limited to superficial textural changes and loss of skin elasticity but also include structural changes such as mid- and lower-face soft-tissue descent, displacement of fat pads, deepening of the nasolabial folds, formation of marionette lines, and blurring of the mandibular contour [2, 3].

Design and performance investigation of embedded dual-substrate fiber Bragg grating strain sensor for asphalt pavement
Abstract To address the drawbacks of conventional point-type strain sensors for asphalt pavements—including low deployment efficiency, high cost, poor data consistency, limited deformation compatibility with the pavement matrix, and difficulty in achieving multi-directional synchronous monitoring—this study develops an embedded dual-substrate fiber Bragg grating (FBG) strain sensor.
Pharmacological activation of SIRT1 alleviates sepsis-associated acute kidney injury by improving renal mitochondrial energy metabolism
Abstract Sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (SA-AKI) is a frequent and severe complication of sepsis and is closely associated with increased mortality. Mitochondrial dysfunction and impaired energy metabolism are important contributors to SA-AKI pathogenesis. Silent information regulator 1 (SIRT1), a nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+)-dependent deacetylase, regulates cellular metabolism, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial homeostasis.
A hybrid memetic algorithm for an energy-aware distributed blocking hybrid flowshop scheduling problem with transportation time
Abstract This study examines the distributed blocking hybrid flowshop scheduling problem with energy considerations and transportation time (DBHFSP-E). A mathematical programming model is formulated to simultaneously minimize makespan and total energy consumption, and its validity is verified through the Gurobi solver. To address this problem, a hybrid memetic algorithm (HMA) is developed.

Lineage structure and penicillin-binding protein variability in clinical Streptococcus pneumoniae isolates from Southwest China exhibiting reduced susceptibility to penicillin
Abstract Background: Reduced susceptibility to penicillin in Streptococcus pneumoniae is mediated primarily by alterations in penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) and often coexists with multidrug resistance within successful lineages. The region-specific genomic characterization of clinically relevant pneumococci with reduced penicillin susceptibility in Southwest China remains limited. Methods: We performed whole-genome sequencing of 204 clinical S.
Practical Guide to Oxygen Evolution Research: Fundamentals, Experimental Workflows, and Cross-Disciplinary Materials Discovery
1 Introduction OER lies at the heart of modern electrochemical energy technologies. As the rate-limiting half-reaction in water splitting, metal–air batteries, and various regenerative fuel-cell systems [1-6], it fundamentally governs the efficiency and feasibility of sustainable hydrogen production [7, 8]. Meanwhile, the global energy landscape is undergoing a profound transition from fossil-fuel–dominated systems toward electricity-centered energy infrastructures [9, 10].

Numerical investigation and optimization of structural and operating parameters for cuttings transport in a bidirectional eccentric micro-underreamer
Abstract Cuttings transport behavior plays a crucial role in downhole safety, drilling efficiency, and wellbore cleaning during underreaming operations. Because of the complex local flow passage and eccentric structural characteristics of a bidirectional eccentric micro-underreamer, cuttings migration and discharge are highly sensitive to downhole operating conditions.

Mechanistic investigation of hydrostatic pressure effects on stress corrosion cracking in Ti-6Al-4V welded joints
Abstract The reliability of titanium alloy welded joints is critical to the service safety of deep-sea engineering systems. The welding thermal cycle generates complex microstructures in Ti-6Al-4V, resulting in pronounced mechanical and electrochemical heterogeneity across joint regions. Herein, in-situ electrochemical testing was conducted to investigate stress corrosion cracking (SCC) behavior in distinct weld zones under hydrostatic pressure.
ALDOB K87 lactylation drives mitochondrial fission and metabolic reprogramming in pulmonary hypertension

Reducing Fraud Loss With an Automated Dynamic Policy
By Jared Coleman , Bhaskar Krishnamachari , Li LiuMar 11, 2026 Tl;dr: Coinbase has developed a novel, dynamic control policy that replaces static rules to automatically manage risk, resulting in superior financial loss mitigation and more efficient utilization of constrained resources. Risk management and fraud detection systems often rely on manually-tuned rules and static thresholds to determine the appropriate action for a given transaction or event. While effective, these systems are rigid.
