Single-cell sequencing reveals immune networks and metabolic reprogramming in gynecological malignancies
Abstract Gynecological malignancies, encompassing ovarian cancer (OC), endometrial cancer (EC), and cervical cancer (CC), represent a group of aggressive neoplasms that pose substantial threats to women’s health worldwide. The complex tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a pivotal role in disease progression and therapeutic resistance.

Self-efficacy and antenatal depression mediate the relationship between third-trimester maternal health literacy and adverse pregnancy outcomes
Abstract This study aims to investigate the mechanisms through which maternal health literacy (MHL) influences adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs), and to examine the mediating roles of self-efficacy (SE) and pre-pregnancy depression (AD) within this relationship for the first time. This cross-sectional survey recruited 322 pregnant women in the third trimester using a two-stage sampling method.

Psychosocial determinants of antibiotic stewardship decisions among Chinese clinicians across hospital tiers: a longitudinal study
Abstract Inappropriate antibiotic use contributes to antimicrobial resistance, yet much stewardship evidence is cross-sectional and intention-based. We conducted a two-wave longitudinal survey of clinicians in Chinese hospitals approximately 11 months apart (baseline September–October 2024; follow-up August–September 2025) to examine whether baseline psychosocial factors predicted follow-up stewardship-aligned responses to four clinical vignettes and whether associations varied by hospital level.
ATHENA promotes the assembly of the ATP synthase-associated macromolecular complex and cancer progression
Abstract The ATP synthase-associated macromolecular complex plays a crucial role in cellular energy homeostasis. However, the regulation and potential function of this complex remain poorly understood in cancer. Here, we identify a 170-amino acid protein encoded by the lncRNA LINC00528, which we term ATP synthase-associated macromolecular complex enhancing microprotein (ATHENA).
Background-free quantitative phase imaging with adaptive-optics surface plasmon resonance holographic microscopy
Abstract Quantitative phase imaging (QPI) in the near field is a powerful tool for visualizing nanoscale structures in low-dimensional materials, dielectric mixtures and biological cells. Although near-field QPI offers extremely high sensitivity, phase aberrations of the optical system can pose serious limitations. Overcoming these problems, we introduce an adaptive optics approach that takes advantage of the complex amplitude measured by digital holographic microscopy (DHM).

ADT-OH promotes mitophagy and suppresses the cytosolic mtDNA-cGAS-STING inflammatory cascade in microglia
Abstract Mitochondrial dysfunction, driven by genetic susceptibility or environmental insults, contributes to the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson’s disease (PD). Mitophagy is a selective pathway that eliminates dysfunctional mitochondria, and mitophagy inducers hold therapeutic promise for neurodegeneration. However, the arsenal of specific, clinically viable inducers remains limited.
Endothelial adenosine A 2A receptor activation-mediated Tau hyperphosphorylation leads to blood–brain barrier breakdown in a chronic methamphetamine mouse model
Abstract Introduction: Methamphetamine (METH), a psychostimulant, can cause the blood–brain barrier (BBB) breakdown through astrocyte endfeet swelling and endothelial cell impairment. Our previous studies have shown that phosphorylated microtubule-associated protein Tau (p-Tau) levels increase, especially in neurons, after METH exposure. However, whether p-Tau accumulates in the endothelial cells of METH mouse brains remains unclear.

Abstract Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of Chinese endocrinologists regarding congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), which is essential for enhancing clinical differentiation skills and improving fertility management in non-classic CAH patients. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted between July 27 and August 23, 2023, using a questionnaire distributed to 475 endocrinologists across China.
The effect of structured checklist-assisted multimedia interactive education on postoperative pain management and quality of life in patients with lower extremity varicose veins: a randomized controlled trial with 1-year follow-up
Abstract Objective: Lower extremity varicose veins (LEVV) are common chronic venous disorders. Adherence to perioperative self-care plays a vital role in managing postoperative pain and enhancing long-term quality of life (QoL). Traditional health education models often struggle with issues such as incomplete information and high cognitive load. Methods: This study utilized a single-blind, randomized controlled trial design.

The synergistic effect of biochar and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on the phytoremediation of cadmium-contaminated soil
Abstract Previous studies have demonstrated that both Biochar (BC) and Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) can significantly mitigate Cadmium (Cd) toxicity and alleviate plant stress. To further investigate the individual and interactive effects of these two factors on the phytoremediation of Cd-contaminated soil, a pot experiment was conducted. Under Cd pollution stress, the concurrent application of BC and AMF markedly increased biomass by 40.1% and the root-shoot ratio by 35.9%.

β-Hydroxybutyrate promotes cancer metastasis through β-hydroxybutyrylation-dependent stabilization of Snail - Nature Communications
Abstract β-Hydroxybutyrylation (Kbhb) modification regulates protein molecular fates in either physiology or pathology, including cancer. However, the function and regulatory mechanism of Kbhb remain completely unknown in cancer metastasis. Here, we report that β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) is clinically associated with the progression of pancreatic cancer and functionally promotes pancreatic cancer cell metastasis.

BCL-2 dependence is a favorable predictive marker of response to therapy for chronic lymphocytic leukemia - Molecular Cancer
Overall apoptotic priming and functional dependence correlate with distinct molecular features As the heterogeneity of ex vivo drug responses in CLL has been found to be partly explained by the genomic background of patient samples [7], we first evaluated whether differences in mitochondrial priming and functional dependence on BCL-2 family anti-apoptotic proteins could complement genomic data to better understand this variation.

Genomes reveal pervasive distant hybridization in nature among cyprinid fishes
Cyprinidae (order Cypriniformes) is the largest and most diverse family of ray-finned fish, comprising about 13 subfamilies and 370 genera [1, 2]. This family includes popular aquarium fishes like goldfish and koi, as well as the valuable vertebrate model organism, the zebrafish [2]. As a family of freshwater fish, the origin time of Cyprinidae was estimated at 154 million years ago (MYA) [3], and they are now widely distributed in almost all types of water around the world [2].
A Lightweight Detection Model Without Convolutions for Complex Stacked Grasping Tasks
1. Introduction In robotic grasping tasks, detecting and recognizing complex stacked objects is challenging due to occlusion, scale variations, complex backgrounds, and long-tailed data distribution. Traditional CNN-based methods struggle with these issues, especially in real-time applications on embedded devices, as their fixed receptive fields and high computational complexity limit their effectiveness [1].

Variation and interaction of distinct subgenomes contribute to growth diversity in intergeneric hybrid fish
Abstract Intergeneric hybridization greatly reshapes regulatory interactions among allelic and non-allelic genes. However, their effects on growth diversity remain poorly understood in animals. In this study, we conducted whole-genome sequencing and mRNA-seq analyses in diverse hybrid varieties resulting from the intergeneric hybridization of goldfish (Carassius auratus red var.) and common carp (Cyprinus carpio).
