Structural lightweight design of bogie bolster based on surrogate models
Abstract The bogie bolster is one of the key components of railway freight cars, and its lightweight design plays an important role in improving the transportation capacity of freight vehicles. However, the bolster features complex geometry, leading to high costs and long design cycles in structural development. In this paper, finite element analysis (FEA) is performed to evaluate the static strength and stiffness of the bolster.

Effect of AI-driven simulation integrated with virtual case-based training on diagnostic and therapeutic reasoning homogenization among junior ophthalmologists: a prospective cohort study
Abstract Background: Conventional training models for diabetic retinopathy (DR) inadequately address the dynamic decision-making demands required for diagnostic reasoning standardization among junior ophthalmologists. Objective: To evaluate whether AI-driven simulation integrated with virtual DR case training is associated with greater homogenization of diagnostic and therapeutic reasoning compared with conventional case-based instruction.
Exercise intervention for children with acute leukemia: a best evidence summary
Abstract Background: Acute leukemia (AL) is the most common malignancy in childhood. Despite significant improvements in survival rates, long-term high-intensity chemotherapy often leads to severe physical dysfunction and cancer-related fatigue (CRF) in pediatric patients. Although exercise intervention is a significant non-pharmacological physical therapy for improving patient prognosis, clinical practice still lacks unified, evidence-based standardized guidance.

Image quality analysis of multi-dose chest CT based on KARL 3D reconstruction
Abstract A study on the impact of Filtered Back Projection (FBP) reconstruction versus Knowledge-based Adaptive Regularized Reconstruction (KARL) 3D iterative reconstruction at different strength levels on chest CT image quality, and an investigation into the improvement efficacy of KARL 3D reconstruction under varying radiation dose conditions (ultra-low, low, and standard doses).
Hip vertical motion effects on walking gait for biped robots
Abstract In biped robot walking, hip height is often assumed to be constant. However, during human walking, the hip oscillates in the vertical direction. Whether a gait with human-like hip vertical motion (HVM) is more energy efficient than the one with fixed hip height (FHH) has not been thoroughly investigated. We propose two classes of gaits to study the effects of HVM on the modeled mechanical energy consumption of biped robots. The gait parameters are determined by optimization.

A TLS point cloud dataset with detailed annotations for leaf-on and leaf-off seasons across multiple tree species - HuashuTrees
Abstract Terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) captures accurate 3D tree geometry, benefiting forest management and ecology. Deep learning has enhanced TLS point cloud processing but requires extensive training data with semantic annotations. Existing datasets typically focus on tree segmentation or species classification, lacking detailed leaf-wood separation, which is essential for carbon stock and photosynthesis modelling.
SERPINH1 derived from cancer-associated fibroblasts promotes epithelial-mesenchymal transition in clear cell renal cell carcinoma
Abstract Despite advances in cancer treatment, the prognosis of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remains poor. The role of CAFs in ccRCC remains unclear. The single-cell sequencing (scRNA-seq) data for ccRCC were downloaded from the GEO database, with the SERPINH1+ fibroblast subpopulation identified. Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) were determined. In vitro assays analyzed SERPINH1 expression and its impact on ccRCC tumor progression.

Direct coupling of human TOM and TIM22 complexes drives mitochondrial carrier import
Abstract Metabolite carriers that control essential metabolite transport are imported into mitochondria through the TOM and TIM22 complexes. How TOM and TIM22 coordinate in human mitochondria has remained largely unknown. Here we show that human TOM and TIM22 assemble into a supercomplex that seamlessly couples carrier translocation across the outer and inner membranes, unlike in yeast where the two complexes appear to function separately.

This study aimed to characterize the interaction structure of these factors using a network approach and to identify potential targets for intervention.
One-Pot Depolymerization, Demethylation, and Phenolation of Lignin for Bioactive Polyphenol Production
1 Introduction The extensive use of antibiotics as growth promoters in animal husbandry has accelerated the emergence of antibiotic-resistant microorganisms, led to the accumulation of drug residues in food products, and contributed to the dissemination of resistance genes—collectively posing serious threats to public health and ecological stability [1, 2].
Short-term thinning alters labile soil phosphorus fractions and is associated with microbial alpha diversity and phosphatase activity in subtropical conifer plantations
Abstract Introduction: Plantations play important roles in ecosystem functions but long-term high-density management can limit nutrient cycling. Phosphorus is a key limiting nutrient in subtropical forest soils due to strong fixation by Fe/Al oxides. The Hedley fractionation method provides detailed insight into soil P pools, especially labile and moderately labile fractions. Soil microorganisms and phosphatase enzymes are important regulators of P transformation.

An Integrated Dataset of Clinical and Microbial Profiles for Fecal Microbiota Transplantation
Abstract Functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) are prevalent and burdensome, yet progress in microbiota-targeted therapies such as fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) has been hampered by the lack of large-scale, integrated datasets. Current studies are mostly limited in sample size and scope, constraining mechanistic insight and precision application. To address this gap, we established FMTdb, a curated dataset focused on FGID patients treated with FMT.

Assembly and gating mechanism of native AMPA receptors from the cerebellum
Abstract AMPA receptors (AMPARs) mediate the majority of fast excitatory synaptic transmission throughout the central nervous system. Calcium-permeable AMPARs and GluA4-containing receptors are critical for cerebellar functions, such as motor learning, associative memory, auditory processing, and synaptic plasticity.
Solvation sheath reorganization enables fast ion transfer kinetics in lithium-ion battery
Abstract The limitations of ion transport kinetics in conventional electrolytes, particularly under extreme operating conditions, arise from suboptimal solvation structures and inefficient charge carrier utilization. Here, we present strategic electrolyte design that reconfigures Li⁺ coordination geometry by modulating intermolecular interactions and solvent molecule volume, fundamentally overcoming these transport constraints.
Frontiers | Application of the ISBAR bedside handover communication model in a pediatric hematology–oncology department: a pre–post intervention study
Abstract Background: Pediatric patients in hematology–oncology departments often present with complex, severe, and rapidly changing conditions, which place high demands on the accuracy and completeness of nursing handovers. Traditional bedside handovers are prone to information omission and unclear prioritization, potentially compromising patient safety.
Condensation and intracellular interaction of membrane-anchored receptors and ligands capable of forming catch and slip bonds - Communications Physics
Abstract Gaining insights into the condensation and intracellular interaction of membrane-anchored receptors and ligands is critical for elucidating physiological and pathological mechanisms and for informing therapeutic development. The membrane-anchored receptors and ligands that can form catch or slip bond are often subjected to forces. A fundamental question remains of how the applied force affects the condensation and interaction of membrane-anchored receptors and ligands.
