Spinal Mechanisms of Testosterone Involved in Itch Regulation
1 Introduction Itch, the sensation that elicits the urge to scratch, is a common experience in daily life. It ranges from acute itch caused by transient skin irritation to chronic, persistent itch, which may present as localized, well-defined epidermal discomfort or diffuse perceptual abnormalities. As a defensive alarm system conserved through evolution, acute itch serves a protective function by prompting scratching to avoid potential irritants or signal underlying issues.

Selective reduction of the light peak-to-dark trough ratio in reticular macular disease: an electrooculography study
Abstract Purpose: To compare electrooculogram (EOG) parameters between eyes with reticular macular disease (RMD) and eyes with early-to-intermediate age-related macular degeneration (AMD) without reticular pseudodrusen (RPD), and to assess whether RMD is associated with generalized RPE–photoreceptor complex dysfunction. Methods: In this observational cross-sectional study, 42 eyes from 21 patients were analyzed (without-RPD group: 28 eyes; RMD group: 14 eyes).
The effect of maternal and child health resource allocation on efficiency in China
Abstract Maternal and child healthcare services constitute a vital component of the healthcare system and play a crucial role in safeguarding population health. However, in China, challenges such as the irrational allocation of MCH resources and suboptimal operational efficiency remain prevalent. This study aims to investigate the impact of resource allocation on the efficiency of the maternal and child healthcare system in China.

Optic nerve cerebrospinal fluid drainage via lymphatic vessels in its sheath
Abstract Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) surrounding the optic nerve is essential for nutrient transport, waste removal, and optic nerve function. Optic disc edema in astronauts during long-duration spaceflight—Spaceflight Associated Neuro-Ocular Syndrome (SANS)—may result from impaired optic nerve CSF drainage, but the drainage pathway remains unclear.

Molecular anchoring-induced proton adsorption effect achieves stable zinc metal anodes
Molecular anchoring-induced proton adsorption effect achieves stable zinc metal anodes The development of high-energy, environmentally friendly, and intrinsically safe aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) requires stable zinc metal anodes (ZMAs). However, the cycling durability of ZMAs is significantly compromised by interfacial degradation mechanisms, including uncontrolled Zn2+-induced dendrite formation, parasitic hydrogen evolution reactions (HER), and surface corrosion.

Inhibitory effect of tea flower polysaccharides on oxidative stress and microglial oxidative damage in aging mice by regulating gut microbiota
Inhibitory effect of tea flower polysaccharides on oxidative stress and microglial oxidative damage in aging mice by regulating gut microbiota Tea flower polysaccharides (TFPS) have prominent anti-aging effect. In this study, we used an animal model of aging induced by D-galactose in mice to investigate the effect of TFPS on reducing inflammatory factors, lowering oxidative stress levels, and inhibiting oxidative damage to microglia from the perspective of regulating gut microbiota.
Eye-tracking investigation of emotional feedback to southern Hebei courtyard gates
ABSTRACT The attention of residents has always been drawn to the courtyard gates of rural residential buildings, this is the basis for evaluating the first impression of the countryside by first-time visitors. Using eye-tracking technology, this study measures the pupil diameter, fixation duration, and fixation point of subjects as objective physiological data, Then combined with the results of the subjective satisfaction questionnaire for a comprehensive analysis.
Raw signal segmentation for estimating RNA modification from Nanopore direct RNA sequencing data
Abstract Estimating RNA modifications from Nanopore direct RNA sequencing data is a critical task for the RNA research community. However, current computational methods often fail to deliver satisfactory results due to inaccurate segmentation of the raw signal. We have developed a new method, SegPore, which leverages a molecular jiggling translocation hypothesis to improve raw signal segmentation.
Correction to “Anomalous Blue Shift of Exciton Luminescence in Diamond”
In the Table of Contents graphic, there are two instances of “Blue shift”. However, the occurrence labeled as “Blue shift” in red font should be corrected to “Red shift”. This discrepancy may have arisen due to error during character input. In the initial description of “Sample preparation and characterization” in the Supporting Information, we presented the testing methodology involving XRD and infrared absorption spectrum.
