LOVB Nebraska announced Friday that the four-time Olympic medalist and team co-owner will return for the 2027 campaign. She had initially announced her retirement ahead of the 2026 season on Jan. 9 and played her final game on April 4.

OMAHA, Neb (WOWT) - Two future Huskers have teamed up at Millard North for their senior year of high school football. Nebraska safety commit Tory Pittman III transferred to the Mustangs this offseason after spending his first three years at Omaha Central. At Millard North, he joins Husker offensive line commit Matt Erickson. “I think it’s cool to play with a future teammate right now, so just building our relationship early just so when we get to that next level it’s already there,” Pittman said.

Bellevue native William Kyle III playing for Lakers in NBA Summer League

(WOWT) - William Kyle III, a 2022 Bellevue West graduate, is competing for a roster spot with the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Summer League after signing an Exhibit 10 contract with the team in June, after going undrafted. An Exhibit 10 deal is an NBA training camp contract that pays a one-year nonguaranteed minimum salary unless converted into a two-way contract.
