New York State Department of Transportation Commissioner Marie Therese Dominguez called the achievement a milestone. She said work will now focus on removing outdated infrastructure that has divided parts of Syracuse.

DRYDEN, N.Y. — The owner of a mobile home park in Dryden was arrested for poisoning animals on his property. The Tompkins County Animal Control said John Kaufmann, 62, was arrested on July 2. He was charged with a felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of poisoning or attempting to poison animals.
